💭 "I'm not ready yet" 💭 "What if I fail?" 💭 "I should wait until it's perfect" 💭 "I'll stay where it's safe" 💭 "Maybe I'll do it someday..." The truth is, everyone has those fears when starting something new… But what sets successful people apart is that they didn't let those fears win ✨ The difference isn't in what they felt. The difference is in what they DID. ❌ They didn't wait until they were fearless. ❌ They didn't wait until everything was perfect. ❌ They didn't wait until they felt ready. They chose the right column. Every. Single. Time. Your fear isn't going anywhere. But neither are your dreams. So which column will you choose today?

Let's talk about those sneaky little stories we tell ourselves: 💭 "I'll figure out my career once the kids are older" 💭 "It's too late to start something new" 💭 "Tech just isn't for me" 💭 "I'm not smart enough for this" 💭 "Who am I to want more?" I see you nodding along to at least one of these. Want to know how I know? Because every single one of us had at least one of these exact same thoughts. But here's what we discovered: Those stories? They're just that. Stories. And you get to be the author of a new one. What if 2025 was the year you: ✅ Learned digital skills while the kids are at soccer practice ✅ Proved that it's never too late to reinvent yourself ✅ Showed others what's possible when you bet on yourself ✅ Built a career that works around YOUR life Because here's the truth: That voice telling you it's not possible? It's the same voice that's kept so many brilliant women playing small. And we're not doing that anymore ❌ This is your sign to write a new story. One where you're the hero, not the side character waiting for "someday." Are you ready to prove those old stories wrong this year? Every person you admire started exactly where you are right now: heart racing and wondering if they could really do this. (Spoiler alert: They could. And so can you 💯)

Save this post, because I have a feeling you'll need this reminder more than once this year... Because here's the truth - that voice telling you that you need to choose between being present for your family and building a meaningful career? ❌ It's wrong. That belief that you've missed your chance, that it’s too late or that tech is "not for you"? ❌ Also wrong. This is your official permission to do it differently. To write your own rules. To believe that maybe, just maybe, this is your year to prove all those doubts wrong. Save this post for the days when you need reminding. Give yourself permission to go after what you want this year. You've got this! AND know that you've got the incredible GeekPack community in your corner 💪

Did you know that in some cultures, there are 50 different words for snow? Each word tells a different story: ❄️ The gentle powder that dances in streetlights ❄️ The heavy blanket that transforms landscapes overnight ❄️ The delicate frost that paints morning windows ❄️ The soft flurries that make children's eyes light up It's beautiful, isn't it? How one simple thing can hold so many different meanings, stories, and possibilities... And just like snow, you are not just one thing. ❌ You are not just your LinkedIn headline. Not just your job title. Not just the name on your email signature. ✨ You are a constellation of experiences, dreams, and qualities that make you uniquely you. But here's what fascinates me... While we can easily see the depth and complexity in others – calling them brilliant, innovative, inspiring, compassionate, creative – we often struggle to see these qualities in ourselves. We reduce ourselves to a simple introduction: "Hi, I'm [name]. I work at [company]." 🤷♀️ But you are so much more than that. You're the early-morning problem-solver. The midnight idea-generator. The quiet supporter of others' dreams. The persistent learner. The brave beginner. The resilient fighter. Today, I want to hear your story. Comment in this post and introduce yourself WITHOUT using your name 👇 Tell us who you really are – all the parts of you that can't fit on a business card. Use as many words, metaphors, and descriptions as you like. Be poetic. Be bold. Be honest. Because just like snow isn't just "frozen water," you aren't just a name. You are a whole world of possibilities.

That first morning of January... The holiday glow has faded, and reality feels like a cold splash of water to the face. You're sitting there with your shiny new resolutions, feeling the weight of all those extraordinary hopes and dreams, and suddenly everything feels overwhelming. 🏋️ The gym seems more daunting than inspiring 📅 That daily routine you planned feels impossible ⏪ And your old habits are whispering, "Come back to what's comfortable..." But here's what no one tells you about New Year's resolutions... The magic isn't in getting it perfect – it's in getting back up. Think about it: Every success story we admire is really a story of beautiful imperfection. Those celebrities, entrepreneurs, and innovators we look up to? They didn't succeed because they never failed. They succeeded because they kept going even when things got messy. Here's the truth I want you to hold onto: 1️⃣ Perfect isn't the goal – progress is. Your journey doesn't need to be flawless. It needs to be real. Every step forward counts, even if it comes after two steps back. 2️⃣ Your resolutions can (and should) evolve. That goal you set in the excitement of New Year's Eve? Give yourself permission to reshape it as you learn more about what truly works for you. 3️⃣ Fresh starts don't have an expiration date. January 1st isn't magical. Neither is Monday. Or the first of any month. The best moment to reset? It's whenever you're ready to begin again. Here's what I want you to do right now: Take out a piece of paper or the notes app on your phone and write a letter to your future self 🗒️ the one who will face setbacks, doubt, and those moments when everything feels too hard. What words of encouragement would you share? What truth would you want them to remember? Remember: You're not building a perfect record – you're building resilience 💪 Here’s to an incredible 2025, full of progress and imperfections 🥂

Merry Christmas from the GeekPack Team! 🎄 Have you ever noticed how different the world feels between Christmas and New Year's? Time seems to move differently in these in-between days. The usual rush of life slows down, and we find ourselves in this gentle pause – a space where we can finally breathe and reflect. Some of us will be wrapped in blankets, enjoying the quiet. Others, surrounded by family, savoring those extra moments. And many of us will feel that subtle stirring of possibility These in-between days are like fresh snow – untouched, full of potential, and waiting for our first steps. While the rest of the world is rushing to make grand plans for January 1st, I invite you to appreciate these quiet moments. This is your time to: 👂 Listen to your inner voice 👀 Notice what truly matters to you 💭 Dream without pressure 😴 Rest without guilt Sometimes the most profound changes don't come from our loudest declarations or biggest plans... They come from these quiet moments of genuine reflection.

Each face in our community represents a story of transformation. Of possibility. Of breaking through barriers that once seemed insurmountable. This is why we do what we do. ✨ 2024 wasn't just a year of personal milestones—though those were pretty wild. From meeting Richard Branson on Necker Island to hanging out at Kevin Costner's ranch, to connecting with Karlie Kloss in China, and being named one of Colorado's Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business... each moment was incredible. But none of those compare to what our community achieved together. Because the real story isn't in these milestones. It's about our community. About breaking down barriers. About proving that technology isn't just a tool—it's a pathway to possibility. Not Everything Went Perfect 💫 We missed some revenue targets. Had to sunset a product we believed in. Faced moments of doubt and uncertainty. But we kept showing up. For our commnity. For each other. Looking ahead to 2025 🎯 We're dreaming big and planning even bigger: ✅ Expanding our digital skills training to more historically underserved communities ✅ Launching new programs that bridge the technology skills gap ✅ Creating more scholarship opportunities for women and minority entrepreneurs ✅ Deepening our partnerships with organizations that share our vision of empowerment And our BIG SURPRISE? ✨ Our first-ever in-person GeekPack event is coming, and I need YOUR input! Where should we gather? What would make this event unmissable for you? 📍 Denver? 📍 Dallas? ⛰️ An epic mountain retreat? 🌐 A tech hub like San Francisco? Drop a comment with your top location pick 👇 Help us create an event that will be a game-changer for our community. Here's to breaking barriers, one skill at a time 💪 Julia Taylor
