Thanks to Paige Reddinger and Robb Report for covering our recent auction of the Patek Philippe Cubitus. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eVfBuSzB Since launching Auctions in January of this year, we've had more than 150 drops. Due to popular demand, we’ve increased frequency from three times per week to every day, including weekends. This follows the marketplace reaching $650M worth of listings. We’ve set out to build the best watch-buying experience possible. And that includes bringing the most exciting parts of the auction world to the Bezel app.

“The unique aspect of our business is this elegant mix of cutting-edge technology on the consumer-facing side and time-tested, analog processes on the backend… Our job is to blend modern product design with a deep appreciation for the traditional techniques that have stood the test of time, creating a sense of trust and transparency for our customers.” Bezel CEO Quaid Walker spoke to Forbes about how we built an experience our users could trust through in-house authentication, an embedded concierge, and a best-in-class app. Read the interview here: https://lnkd.in/eepdpXTV

Thanks to the Jonathan Club Horological Society for hosting us last week. Looking forward to future events!
The Jonathan Club Horological Society (JCHS) hosted Bezel, the hottest startup in the watch game! Chase Pion, COO of Bezel, and Ryan Chong, Head of Watch Operations, joined us for a fireside chat focused on watch authentication. Ryan shared fascinating insights into how Bezel authenticates watches, even giving us a sneak peek at their internal reference documentation for spotting fakes. Chase treated us to deep insights into the secondary watch market business, sharing the incredible journey he and his co-founders Quaid Walker and Darryl Johnson have been on over the past few years. But that's not all! The Bezel team brought along some jaw-dropping watches for us to admire, and we were thrilled to experience the newly redesigned Penthouse at the Jonathan Beach Club. What a fantastic evening filled with great food, new friends, and stunning timepieces! Thanks again to all the JC staff for their hard work in making this event happen. Please mark your calendars for our next event on July 11, 2024, where we'll be featuring IWC Schaffhausen and Italian clothing manufacturer ISAIA. You won't want to miss it!

Thanks to Ella Hopkins and Business Insider for featuring our CEO, Quaid Walker, in their 'as-told-to' series!
When Quaid Walker landed a job at Google, it was a dream come true. Walker worked as a design lead at Google in the movies and TV teams over five years. He decided to leave his job when he was 27 to start his own business with two co-founders, a watch-buying platform called Bezel. The CEO told Business Insider that he finds running a business more complicated than his tech job, but he enjoys learning about new areas beyond product design. "Sometimes, I miss the security I had at Google, but the highs I get running my own company are much higher. I wouldn't trade it," he said. https://lnkd.in/eUkKUxC8
I left my dream job at Google to start my own business. Sometimes I miss the security of a big tech job, but I don't regret leaving.
