What I’ve learned is that when starting something, you need to see yourself excited, ten years from now, about two things: the team that you’re working with, and the problem that you’re solving together. Hirundo’s team is an incredible interdisciplinary group of people, and the problem we’re solving is an industry-defining one. I couldn’t be more excited when we started working.” 🌟 Outside work: Cooking, dancing, family time, geopolitics and occasional meme-making (see NothingSaaS). "As one of the first employees, I saw an opportunity to shape the company's direction and make a tangible impact while working on meaningful technical problems.” 🥾Off the clock: “I enjoy bouldering at local climbing gyms and hiking through Israel’s trails, particularly through rivers and waterfalls. I also love traveling to new towns, cities, and countries, where I can explore and capture unique moments with my camera". Just as Ben tackles challenging routes on the climbing wall, he approaches complex coding problems at Hirundo with the same determination.  We're excited to see what new heights he'll help Hirundo reach next!

🐦⬛ Humans of Hirundo: Meet our Chief Scientist & Co-Founder, Emeritus Prof. Oded Shmueli 🐦⬛ With a distinguished career as the former Dean of Computer Science and Executive VP at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Oded has brought his expertise and vision to Hirundo. He has also collaborated in the past with industry giants like IBM, HP, AT&T, and more.” 🔬 On joining the team: "Alongside the team, the dual promise of enhancing AI model performance and tackling complex technical challenges drew me to Hirundo's mission. Throughout my academic career, I sought ways to make a tangible impact on the industry. Hirundo gave me the opportunity to do so at scale, after becoming an Emeritus Professor.” 🏊 After hours: Oded likes to spend time with his family and friends, swimming and playing bridge. Plus, after hearing about how professional the team is, I knew this would be the perfect place to kick off my career—learning from the best and working with an awesome group!" 🍔 After work: “I’m guilty of staying up way too late watching trashy reality shows, constantly trying (and failing) to get into a workout routine, and catching up with friends over a good burger and beer.” 🐦 A fun fact Ben Luria has insisted on not omitting: Tamir once played basketball with Justin Bieber!
