🎤 Day 2 at Davos started with Writer CEO May Habib taking the stage at #WEF25 to discuss the impact of generative AI on job creation, displacement, and transformation. She joined a panel including Mohamed Kande, Global Chairman at PwC, Ravi Kumar S, CEO at Cognizant, Luc Triangle, General Secretary at International Trade Union Confederation - ITUC, and session moderator Mina AlOraibi, Editor-in-Chief at The National News. 🚨 The full session can now be viewed at https://lnkd.in/gmcyDvEM 🚨 Key takeaways from the conversation: 💡 Generative AI democratizes knowledge The panelists discussed how access to AI technology is critical, as having "knowledge at your fingertips" breaks down entry barriers, can be a leveler across groups, and as Ravi Kumar S shared, AI offers the promise of upward social mobility within and between countries. From Writer's perspective, May adds, "We are democratizing who can become a builder. We're seeing folks without technical or engineering backgrounds being able to engineer pretty sophisticated, agentic types of flows." 💡 Generative AI is change management May continues: "We build technology, but we are in the business of change management as well, because if you don't play AI like a team sport, you just don't get the the transformation." Mohamed Kande adds, "There is this fallacy of believing that the benefits of augmentation have to come from management. No, it has to come from the people, and then it is them adopting it. That's how you accelerate adoption." 💡 Humans in control For AI to benefit humanity and society, responsible AI was discussed from different perspectives. Luc Triangle led with the idea that "'humans in control' should be a leading principle" as it relates to issues such as inclusion and digital equity. The upskilling and reskilling of employees is also crucial to adapting to the changes brought about by AI. Adoption to this point has been led by citizens rather than businesses. As Luc adds, "Workers are not scared of new technology. They are scared if their company remains working with old technology." Thank you to the World Economic Forum, Mina, and all the panelists for this provocative, wide-ranging and important discussion!

Davos is in full swing! 🎤 Our CEO May Habib kicked off #WEF25 today with a thought-provoking discussion moderated by The Female Quotient CEO Shelley Zalis on the impact of artificial intelligence on advancing equality, expanding opportunity, and bridging the digital divide. She took the stage alongside Stacy Janiak, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte and Jennifer Daniell Belissent, Principal Data Strategist, Snowflake, to explore how we can leverage AI's vast potential to address global challenges and build a better future. Key takeaways: 💡Equitable AI starts with data, and leaders need to read the label May highlighted the responsibility of enterprise leaders to ask hard-hitting questions around transparency, bias, and training data to build a more equitable future. She highlighted novel LLM training techniques that can overcome data bias, noting, “Synthetic data is the only way to create a future that is different from the past.” Jennifer Betison added, "We need to make sure that from end to end, we're including a diverse set of all the inputs into building these models in order to ensure that the outcomes that we're getting are as representative as possible." Stacy Janiak echoed, “I think it's for humanity's sake. It is really important that women are in the design of the systems and in the design of the data that's going to feed the system.” 💡Women play a pivotal role in driving AI transformation May shared that two-thirds of Writer’s top customers have a woman in the role of C-suite sponsor or executive champion. “When you take an 8 week process and turn it into an 8 minute process, there is a ton of change management work, a ton of reskilling work, and a ton of bridge building that needs to happen. In the enterprise, a lot of that labor is falling on the women executives to do,” she said. “And they are really exceeding the results of some of their male-run peers in the industry. If you look at Salesforce, Accenture, and Vanguard, there are women there at the executive level leading the charge. Despite having so few women founders in the industry, it would be a shame if we looked at AI as only a male-led transformation.” Watch the full panel to learn more about how AI can become a powerful force for a more inclusive future: https://lnkd.in/eP2qaamX Thank you to The Female Quotient for creating such a powerful space for connection and action. Let’s continue turning insights into impact!
