The #CGWHGE recently launched the Student Experience Award, a funding opportunity to provide support to The Johns Hopkins University students studying & working in the priority areas of the #CGWHGE. We are proud to announce the first receipt is Wenrui Huang, PhD from Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She will use the award funds to attend the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management Fall Research Conference. Willie, PhD, MA and Stephanie Desmon, M.A. in a discussion about the Violence Against Women Act, including the legislation’s initial goals, why gender-based violence is still a neglected issue 30 years later, and the work that remains to truly protect all women from violence.
