So good to end an incredible work year with a day of reflection in such a stunning place! Nine powerful year end reflection questions to ask ourselves include: 1. What am I most thankful for? (So much!) 2. What have I learned and how have I grown? (In character & competency) 3. Who do I need to thank for their input to my life, team, organisation? 4. Who do I need to forgive? 5. Who do I need to apologise to? 6. What personal tendancy has most undermined my influence over the last year and what intentional actions can I take to overcome it? 7. What parts of my life have been most healthy and fruitful and how do I build on this foundation in 2025? 8. Who can I invest in during the year ahead to play a part in unlocking their potential? 9. What is my number one priority for the year ahead and how will I ensure laser focus on this in the midst of multiple distractions? The Reflection ARC is so powerful 1. Awareness 2. Responsibility 3. Choice Greater levels of self awareness bring increased opportunity for intentionality of healthy high performance choices Better choices lead to: - increased influence - higher impact - improved wellbeing - higher levels of maturity To everyone that I’ve had the privilege of connecting with, partnering with, working with and and learning from in 2024…. Thank you! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! GiANT London Smarter Not Harder GiANT Worldwide

  • Leaders are readers indeed! What's on your reading list for 2025. Thanks Jimmy Dale for sharing your top 3 reads.

Leaders are Readers 📚 If you’re anything like me, you probably have a long list of books you mean to get round to but never quite find the time. A few years ago, I set myself the challenge of reading 26 books a year—one every two weeks. This year, I managed 28, and for those still looking for a few titles to round off 2024 (or perhaps gift this Christmas), here are my top 3 reads that every leader should pick up. 1. Radical Candor by Kim Scott If you find yourself struggling with how to challenge and critique effectively, this is the book for you. Kim Scott masterfully explains the balance between caring personally and challenging directly. Leaders thrive when they build strong, authentic relationships with their teams while fostering open, honest conversations about performance and growth. It’s a light yet impactful read that will help you approach feedback with confidence and compassion. 2. Dare to Lead by Brené Brown Surprisingly, this was my first Brené Brown book, and I’m now a total convert. As someone who has wrestled with vulnerability and failure, this book was a game changer. Brown challenges the outdated notion that leadership means having all the answers. Instead, she reframes leadership as a courageous practice built on vulnerability, curiosity, and empathy. The standout lesson? Real leaders lean into discomfort, are curious about their own blind spots, are willing to take risks, embrace vulnerability, and show up even when failure is possible. 3. The Coaching Habit by Michael Bungay Stanier This one’s brilliant—and not just for professional coaches. If you manage people at any level, this is essential reading. Bungay Stanier distils the art of coaching into seven practical questions that help leaders say less and ask more. It’s a practical, no-nonsense guide that will transform your day-to-day interactions with your team. By asking the right questions, you empower them to solve their own problems, grow in confidence, and achieve their goals. I’m already looking ahead to 2025 and would love your recommendations. What are your must-reads for the coming year? #booksof2024 #leadership #reading

Moments like these—gathering over good food and conversation—remind us that the best teams are built not just on strategy, but on connection and shared experiences. This weekend, we came together for the GiANT London Christmas party, and it was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen those bonds. A big thank you to Steve Cockram and his wife Helen for so generously opening their home to us—it was a perfect setting to celebrate, connect, and enjoy each other’s company. Plenty of tasty food and drink consumed, we even found some locally brewed "Liberator" ale, thanks to Graham Wakeman!
