Had a great time at Global Capital Network & MedTech Investing Forum event yesterday interviewing both investors & companies pitch their deals. Key Takeways: - AI is hot, and businesses are looking for the fastest ways to integrate it starting with sales & marketing first - In order to raise money/capital for your company, you need to attend events like these, talk to at least 100 people in the crowd, and eventually 2-3% of them can turn into a $100K checks or more. - Same goes for investors looking to allocate capital in the next unicorn, you should be attending at least 20-30 demo days conferences per year, and evaluate at least 1,000 companies before allocating into the right product and right founder targeting the right customer base. As I head to the Newport Beach Investor Conference featuring MedTech Investing Forum and Global Capital Network today I'm energized by the #LATechWeek events I have attended thus far. In particular the Fundraising for Wellness Brands event at The KINN in Venice was an amazing event.  I was super inspired to meet so many passionate entrepreneurs as well as investors interested in supporting their vision. There is so much opportunity in wellness and for me personally the alternative wellness opportunities are larger than most realize. The panel was insightful about the current challenges.  The earlier stage you are the harder it is to raise capital right now was one big takeaway. Another was that most of the panelists are bullish on the opportunities around Adaptogens, Nootropics, Red Light Therapy, Men's Skin Care and Biohacking. Mixed responses on Psychedelics.  Don't sleep on Psychedelics is what I say. If you are in Newport Beach today come say hello! #scalingwellness
