The 2024 Gather for Goodwill Luncheon & Fashion Show was a fantastic success, thanks to our incredible supporters and participants! Local celebrities strutted the runway in fabulous thrifted looks styled by Argie Mitra, with hair and makeup by Paul Mitchell The School Jacksonville. Our models' outfits—sourced from various Goodwill North Florida stores—proved secondhand can be stylish and affordable, with prices ranging from just $5.99 to $27.46! Thank you to our emcees, Jana Angel and Stephanie Mack, for bringing such an exciting energy to the event! We also honored three remarkable individuals: James Blackshear (A-STEP Alumnus), Christian Calderon, PharmD, CPh (Take Stock in Children Alumnus), and Sherri Mann (Assistant Manager of Goodwill Donation Centers). A Memorable Day at Gather For Goodwil This event was nothing short of inspiring as we came together for Gather For Goodwill—a day filled with connection, and purpose. The highlight? A live fashion show that showcased stunning designs, all put together with Goodwill finds! The energy in the room was electrifying, and the models truly brought the outfits to life. Santa's tallest elves are in full holiday event mode. This month, "The Atomic Blondes" - aka Jana Angel and I, brought the sparkle to not one but two incredible events! Our first was the St. Johns Town Center 18th Annual Holiday Spectacular, a festive soiree that SLEIGHED holiday style, brought Santa to town, and lit one of Jacksonville's best holiday trees for the shopping season. The second was the Gather for Good Fashion Show & Luncheon, which supported Goodwill Industries of North Florida and honored the achievements of community changemakers. The highlight of this annual event is the celebrity fashion show showcasing low-cost but high-value thrifted treasures from local Goodwill retail shops that Argie Mitra effortlessly styles. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Gather for Goodwill luncheon. I proudly wore an outfit thrifted from Goodwill Industries of North Florida (because I’m a big fan of saving the earth while shopping) and enjoyed seeing my genius cousin Mac Smith capturing the magic for PRI Productions.
