🏆Congratulations to Miss Alex Dewey of our Greater Pittston YMCA branch for being recongized as a 30 Under 30 winner!

On December 20, 2024 members of the Forty Fort Lions Club presented the Camp Kresge branch of the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA with a contribution designated to the Y’s Blue Sky Outdoor Education program. The Forty Forty Lions Club has been supporting Camp Kresge for over 15 years, helping with capital restoration projects and programs that support youth like Blue Sky. Contributions like these provide outdoor education learning opportunities for school age youth, using the great outdoors as nature’s hands-on classroom. The program is provided free of cost to area school districts and includes healthy lunch and snack to students. Our Greater Pittston YMCA branch had the honor of hosting a tour with our friends from USHydrations this morning when they came to present a generous donation! The families of the Y are #forevergrateful for the contribution made in support of Pre-K scholarships as part of Pennsylvania's EITC tax credit program.

The Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA was pleased to accept a gift of scholarship funding from Peoples Security Bank & Trust, which supports the Pre-K program in Wilkes-Barre today. The GWVA Y is honored to be part of Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, and serves hundreds of children across Luzerne County annually. We are so blessed in this region! Last night the Y celebrated 160 year milestone anniversary with the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, and then this morning we got to share the Y's story of growth at the GREATER PITTSTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Autumn Breakfast!
