Successful installation of 1.3 megawatts of Solar System at the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health Care (KIOCH) Hospital in Damak, Jhapa. This non-profit hospital has been helping and caring for the children in the east of Nepal. After this project, this hospital can save a substantial amount on electric bills. This installation has been powered by GRID Alternatives , implemented by Bighnaharta Nepal with the technical partnership of Gham Power . We hosted 10 volunteers from all around the world, who were experts in renewable energy and a working team at RES. The team provided their technical expertise and assisted the technical partner to ensure the sustainability of the solar system. In addition to their technical expertise, this program was a cross-cultural learning experience for the volunteers. In order to achieve our nation's economic and climate goals, we've got to continue ramping up solar + storage installations! 🎇 The Solar Energy Industries Association is unveiling an ambitious storage target for 2030 -- the goal is to reach 700GWh total of installed battery capacity across all market segments, and 10 million distributed storage installations. 🔋 ⚡ Federal, state, and local policy action is crucial if we want to ensure that Americans nationwide have the potential to access energy storage solutions and to build community resiliency in the face of increasing climate events like wildfires, flooding, and subsequent grid outages.
