  • HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is excited to bring timely health topics to our community, allowing participants to meet medical experts, during a lunch and learn format. Dr. Kenton Panas will present an informational seminar on how to eat healthy at the holidays. With so many temptations of high caloric and sugary foods it’s hard to stay on track. He will explain what to eat, what foods to pair together and how to stay healthy while still enjoying the holidays. The presentation will be held at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital at 9330 State Road 54, Trinity, FL 34655, on Tuesday, December 17th, from noon-1 p.m. Register online at: https://bit.ly/4gVYvxV You are more than welcomed to bring a guest. • The holidays can be a lonely time for patients in the hospital. But our nurses are there, day after day, caring for our patients like family. As we approach the end of the year and the season of thankfulness, our patients reflect on the way our nurses made them feel during their hospital stay. It’s extremely rewarding when our patients take time to write letters sharing how we cared for them. And we captured those words on video. • HCA Florida Trinity Hospital announced receiving accreditation under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a joint quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). MBSAQIP is a comprehensive, nationwide surgical quality program aimed at ensuring the safe and effective performance of metabolic and bariatric surgery. Surgical outcomes focus on weight loss and the treatment of obesity-related diseases, like diabetes, sleep apnea, and others. Research shows accredited centers experience lower complications, and better outcomes than that of non-accredited facilities. “HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is proud to be recognized as part of an elite group of facilities with this national accreditation. Our surgeons and colleagues are dedicated to providing safe quality care to our patients,” said Mike Irvin, CEO HCA Florida Trinity Hospital.
