Our business exists to help people. Most of the patients we see are referred to us by physicians, friends, and other pharmacies because of what we do and the personal service that we provide. We provide complicated sterile products to hospitals and industry sources, and customized medications and nutrition to individual patients. Whether it is planning a nutritional supplement program or preventing a patient from a diagnosis of Type II Diabetes, we always customize the therapy for each patient. Seeing patients get better and regaining their health is our true reward for our service.

Updates

  • A Day of Reckoning Coming... The in's and out's of the pharmaceutical industry can be a very slippery slope to patients and consumers, and due to the popularity of the GLP-1's for their effects on diabetes, A-1C levels, and weight loss, the fire is fueled even greater. But there are some things to know about the availability of the compounded forms of these drugs now and over the next year. The FDA currently has semaglutide injection and tirzepatide injection on their Shortage List, which provides an opportunity for qualified sterile compounding pharmacies to make these products. When the FDA decides to remove these products from the list, ALL sterile compounders will have a very short window of time to disburse their remaining inventory, and then it will be over. Tirzepatide will most likely be taken off first, sad because it appears to have fewer side effects and also has a two prong approach to helping patients. Semaglutide will probably be on the Shortage List late into next year. Even after semaglutide is removed, our pharmacy has plans to continue a legal approach to providing a combination product of semaglutide, which we should be starting in the early Fall this year. The demand for these products and the benefits continue to rise in areas of health that are seemingly unrelated to body composition, such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and new clinical trials on Parkinson's Disease. This group of Peptides and other peptides will continue to make news in medical history for quite a long time. Watch for the new developments. In addition, we are now providing oral supplements containing peptides for various health conditions. Call us for more information.

  • The craze around the new class of drugs called GLP-1's is almost hard to believe! We started offering a sublingual for of the drug semaglutide, and now we have expanded to include two injectable forms, semaglutide and tirzepatide. Both of the injections are compounded in an FDA-approved pharmacy called an Outsourcing Facility, which is a totally legal process while these drugs are on the FDA Shortage List. When manufacturing catches up with demand, these individual injections will only be available from the original manufacturers, and at the very high $$$$$ of over $1,000 per month. But we have a plan to continue the compounding here locally even after the shortage is over, which as always, we will be in full compliance with state and federal regulations. If you have questions, please call us at 615-383-3784 and we will explain our process. Each individual patient will receive personal attention to explain these new and exciting medications. Clinical trials are underway for other conditions such as Parkinson's Dz, Alzheimer's, and other devastating chronic diseases.

  • This week our pharmacy and ZRT Labs will host a dinner/speaker meeting at Sperry's Restaurant in Cool Springs. The featured speaker will be Dr Pamela Smith, MD, an international speaker in Functional Medicine that has authored numerous books and articles on hormone imbalances, thyroid disorders, and adrenal dysfunction. She will be signing her new book, which is a revision of her previous book on Women's hormones and how to treat them. If you are a practitioner looking for this type of information, then email us at info@myhwcp.com to see if we have any seats that are not reserved. We would love to have you come, but our space is limited. Her books will be available in the pharmacy by Thursday of this week if you would like to purchase a copy. Call us last minute at 615-383-3784 for more information.

  • We have an upcoming great opportunity to address some of the problems with weight loss, diabetes, and elevated A1C levels. Our pharmacy will soon be offering a SUBLINGUAL SEMAGLUTIDE MEDICATION, BY PRESCRIPTION ONLY, for patients that are tired of needles, refrigeration, and very expensive commercially made pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, the manner we will be making this new compound is fully compliant with FDA and Boards of Pharmacy throughout the country. There have been many compounders offering injectable semaglutide or tirzepatide products, but as commercial productions catches up and back orders go away, compounding those products may become a thing of the past. The SUBLINGUAL DOSE is not a commercially available dosage form, and therefore we will continue to make this product after compounded injectables disappear. Fi9nal testing is being completed and soon we will offer this excellent product with full confidence of efficacy. If you want more information, send a request to mbinkley@myhwcp.com. We should be ready within 1-3 weeks.
