Bringing Quality Hearing Care to Anyone, Anywhere.

About us

We started as a team of two and after just 10 years, we are proud to be a team of more than 1,200 worldwide. We have built the fastest-growing hearing care company in the world. We were the first company to combine positive messaging and online marketing, a free phone consultation, and a network of top audiologists for unprecedented hearing outcomes. And we did it all with the lofty goal of removing the stigma around hearing care and delivering the best solution possible for our customers. Today, we are the clear market leader in online hearing care in every country that we operate in. From the start, we have chosen to build for the long term. We love what we do. What do we do? Deliver on our mission. We believe it is our purpose and duty to bring quality hearing care to anyone, anywhere. It’s why we get up in the morning, and why we try to build a better and bigger hear.com each and every day.

When we first started hear.com in 2012, we faced challenges finding the right local talent. Based in Berlin, we had difficulty filling key roles in our customer consulting team, which involved guiding customers through complex conversations about their hearing loss and solutions over the phone. Then we connected with two new mothers in Frankfurt, 400 miles away, who were seeking meaningful work-from-home opportunities. The two quickly became our second and third employees. At the time, remote work was almost unheard of, but it soon became the perfect solution for us. Fast forward to today, and remote work is a core part of our DNA. We've always been a hybrid company, blending virtual work with in-person connections. We’ve learned that being virtual doesn't mean you lose out on social connections or great collaboration. In fact, it often enhances both. Remote work opened up a broader talent pool, bringing in the best people to match our culture and needs. It also encourages flexibility and focus, which means more efficient and meaningful collaboration when we do connect in person. We've never let physical location limit us from getting the best talent in the room.

  • Breaking the stigma around hearing aids, one conversation at a time. 🦻✨ Dr. Rachel shares why embracing hearing aids isn’t a sign of weakness, but a powerful step toward better hearing and a more connected life. With the right support, like our Horizon IX hearing aids, anyone can rediscover the sounds they’ve been missing. 💙 Let’s change the way we think about hearing health—together.

A common barrier we see with our hearing aid customers? Ego. Many, especially men, resist getting help for their hearing loss simply because it’s hard to acknowledge aging. People take pride in staying independent, and for some, accepting that they need hearing support feels like a step backward. But one of our customers put it perfectly: "It’s stupid how my ego got in the way of living my best life." The truth is, most people don't realize they're standing in their own way when it comes to their hearing. They feel fine and think the problem isn’t "bad enough" to warrant help. But supporting your hearing is not about the severity of the issue; it's about enhancing your quality of life. My advice? Just give it a try. Technology has come a long way, and hearing aids today offer huge benefits even for people with normal hearing. When you take charge of your health, you equip yourself to experience life to the fullest. More often than not, the benefits of regaining full hearing outweigh any feelings of pride or embarrassment. So, if you or someone you know is still on the fence about treating their hearing loss, the best advice I can give is: Don't let your ego stand in the way of your best life.

  • How loud is too loud? 🔊 Everyday sounds, like a lawnmower (95 dB) or a motorcycle (110 dB), can harm your hearing if you’re exposed for too long. At 80 dB or higher, it’s time to protect your ears! Hearing health starts with awareness, and at hear.com, we’re here to guide you every step of the way toward better hearing. Take care of your hearing—it’s worth it. 🌟🦻

Kim Komando does an incredible job of making technology easy to understand and use for everyone. I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Kim on her podcast, “Kim Komando Today.” Her approach to tech discussions reminds me of how Joe Rogan invites his guests to explain complex topics in simple, relatable terms.  She asks straightforward questions and breaks down complex topics so everyone can understand them. During our conversation, we explored how hearing aids have evolved and why hearing health matters. One analogy Kim used really resonated with me: Trying hearing aids is like getting glasses for the first time - you suddenly notice all the little things you’ve been missing out on. It’s true. When people gradually lose their hearing, they often don’t realize what they’re missing until they try hearing aids. Suddenly, they can experience all the sounds they forgot - leaves rustling, birds chirping, or even mundane things like the beeping of a garage door. The reality is, technology has advanced so much that hearing aids can drastically improve quality of life. Thank you, Kim, for a great conversation on this meaningful tech.
