About us

HeyApril: Empowering Accounting for Growth HeyApril is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) based in California, with offices in Los Angeles and Red Bluff. We are the trusted partner for accounting firms, startups, and small businesses, providing access to highly skilled outsourced accounting professionals. Our founders bring over four decades of combined experience in the outsourcing industry. Argel’s expertise comes from leading tax and accounting outsourcing teams at Deloitte, working with Fortune 500 companies, and managing large teams. Mark’s background is in recruitment for major global companies, including MicroSourcing, TaskUs, and Concentrix, both publicly traded in the US. Argel and Mark, childhood best friends separated when Argel immigrated to the US, reconnected two decades later through Facebook. This reunion inspired the creation of HeyApril—a people-first company redefining outsourcing for accounting professionals and businesses. Our journey started with Argel’s solo CPA firm, DTLACPA. Overwhelmed by his growing client base, he teamed up with Mark to recruit and build a team of skilled professionals. Within four years, the firm grew to 14 employees, achieving success thanks to their dedicated, proactive, and highly skilled accounting team. Today, HeyApril offers not only staffing solutions for accounting firms but also outsourced accounting services tailored for startups and small businesses. From tax preparation to financial insights, we help businesses focus on growth while we handle the numbers. Our mission is to bridge cultures meaningfully and ethically, pioneering an outsourcing model built by accountants for accountants and entrepreneurs. We prove that companies prioritizing people over profit can achieve extraordinary success. Let us help you alleviate the challenges of running a growing practice or business.
