As part of today’s hostage deal, 33 hostages will be released from Hamas captivity over the coming weeks. As we learn the fate of each of these hostages, we share in the joy, relief, and immense sadness at this moment after 15 months of unimaginable pain and anguish. ❤️🩹 The Talmud teaches us, "Whoever saves a life, saves the world." But our work is far from finished — let’s bring them all home. Now.

In the face of rising antisemitism, the Shine A Light on Antisemitism Civic Courage Award honors students, educators, creators, and advocates who are taking bold action to combat hate. Hillel student leaders Abby Mehr (Co-President, Hillel at The Ohio State University), Olivia Raykhman (United States Military Academy at West Point, Vice-Chair of the Israel Leadership Network), and Emma Steinhause (University of Maryland) are transforming their campuses. Abby has organized vigils, interfaith dinners, and developed resources to support Jewish students. Olivia fosters unity through campus-wide events. Emma has taken a stand against the BDS movement on her campus, led Israel Fest, and built strong coalitions with diverse student groups. We are SO, SO, SO proud of these students! Jewish students from Hillel at Baruch, Hillel at FIT, John Jay Hillel, Hillel at City, and Hillel at Pace are making an incredible impact in the Holy Land! 🇮🇱💙 Through a meaningful volunteer trip to Israel, they’re collecting and delivering food for those facing food insecurity, learning about Israel's rich history, and supporting local communities. We’re so proud of these students for giving back and helping those in need!

@Hillel York and @UC Riverside Hillel are manifesting only good vibes for 2025! ✨ Jewish students at these campus Hillels came together (after a long winter break apart) to create vision boards and set intentions for the new year. We love seeing everyone back on campus, and we're looking forward to an incredible semester filled with laughter, good food, and lots of Jewish joy.

We're so inspired by the students and staff of Hillel at UCLA, Hillel 818, and Hillel at USC for their resilience and dedication to their community in the wake of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. This past week has embodied what it means to be Jewish: standing together in the face of adversity, and offering strength, love, and comfort when it’s needed most.
