Exploring New Horizons with Kromco from South Africa! 🍏🍐 We (Horti Robotics and Horti Grafting | The Netherlands 🇳🇱) recently had the pleasure of hosting Kromco (Pty) Ltd , a leading cooperative specializing in the packing and distribution of apples and pears from South Africa, at our facilities to visit the grafting robot, thanks to an introduction from Henk Nooteboom. The group, led by Angelique P. , Technical Manager at Kromco, consisted of apple and pear growers eager to explore innovative technologies for their industry. It was an exciting and insightful meeting where we discussed the potential and value of fully automated grafting technology in South Africa. This innovation could boost fruit tree continuity and quality, contributing to a more sustainable future for the industry. Additionally, Henk Nooteboom shared his expertise on growing the ‘Run-Through’ apple tree, which could further elevate the quality of apple and pear nurseries in the region. 🍎🌳 It was a truly engaging and fruitful conversation, and we are excited to see how this partnership can bear fruit in the future. https://lnkd.in/eEx7uJqn
