Hi friends, Build on Housing Oregon's 2024 Success—Make a Tax-Deductible Contribution to Kickstart 2025! https://lnkd.in/gZapujb7 As 2024 comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate the progress we’ve made together in advancing affordable housing across Oregon. From securing critical funding to creating educational resources, your support has driven real change for our communities. 2024 highlights include: $88 million in housing-related infrastructure funding for local communities across Oregon supporting long-term housing development. $65 million for shelter operations and housing-focused services, ensuring ongoing support for those experiencing homelessness and $34 million in homelessness prevention resources, with a 30% set-aside for culturally responsive organizations. Championed the LIFT for Homeownership Work Group to completion in collaboration with OHCS and DOJ resulting in reforms addressing a subsidy shift to unit size, mortgage alignment enhancements, safeguards against foreclosure, and streamlining and improving documentation transparency. Organized the Northeast Oregon Housing Summit in La Grande bringing together 190 affordable housing and homeless service providers, elected officials, general contractors and architects to advance housing production in rural Oregon. Over 900 people participated in our 2024 Annual Conference and Gala. English and Spanish educational videos are now available on our YouTube Channel, empowering communities statewide to advocate for housing solutions. These wins are just the beginning.
