Garage Logic is supporting The Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation with a fundraiser called Play for Patrick. Patrick Schoonover passed away from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) November 14, 2014 at the age of 14. Patrick had 2 undetected heart defects that caused his death. The Schoonover family created the Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation to help identify heart defects in kids 14-24. So far GL has raised $8,200, with more to come! Thank you to everyone who donated or volunteered!

Special thanks to KSTP's Executive Producer of Local Programming, Mike Marcotte, who emceed the Gustavus Adolphus College’s “A Royal Affair” Saturday night. The event, held at the J.W. Marriott, drew 650 people, and raised more than $725,000 for first-generation college student scholarships and funding for the College’s library. October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the 5th year, The Men of the Mix fronted by Morning Mix host Chris Petlak, teamed up with the Men Wear Pink campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. With the help of corporate sponsor Chick-fil-A Chicagoland, The Men of The Mix helped raise $440,543 for the American Cancer Society of Greater Chicagoland, placing the Chicago team third in nationwide campaigns for total funds raised.
