Leadership Flagship 38 had a great Health & Wellness Day last week. The day was designed to inspire and educate, starting with an overview by Danny Windham, COO at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. We continued with a "Moment for Yourself" by Mike Busbey, engaging discussions on mental health and wellness, and wrapping up the morning with an insightful presentation on genomic medicine from the Smith Family Clinic at HudsonAlpha. The afternoon was filled with a visit to Huntsville Hospital with a tour and visit from the COO, medical mobile unit, HEMSI, Transitional Care Coach Manager and the Manager of the Arts in Medicine, Canines for Coping, Caring House, Child Life and Music Therapy Programs. We concluded with a welcome from the new CEO of CRESTWOOD MEDICAL CENTER, with highlights on orthopedic care, emergency response and robotic surgery. The combination of interactive experiences and hands-on learning made for a truly enriching and memorable day. Thank you to our sponsors for the day: Crestwood Medical Center and The Enrichment Center.

  • Keeping our community safe, one donut at a time! 🍩💙 In all sincerity, Huntsville Hospital is thankful to our amazing local law enforcement for all that they do (including keeping us safe during inclement weather). ❄️🥶 From emergency room visits to community patrols, we appreciate the strong partnership we have with this branch of our community. To our Huntsville Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Department, and Alabama State Patrol, we thank you, all, for your service! Be sure to thank a first responder this weekend! ☃️ #LawEnforcementAppreciation #Huntsville #MadisonCounty

  • We recognized Naomi Green, Health Unit Assistant (HUA) in our Adult ICU at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, for going above and beyond to provide morale to her team, through encouragement, support and of course—snacks! 🧁 Just a few things that the team had to say about working with Naomi: 🤍 "Caring, kind, compassionate" 😄 "Always has a smile on her face!" 🍩 "Always brings snacks, food, and gifts" 🏥 "Wonderful to our patients, we would be lost without her. Naomi is the prime example of a model employee!" As the person who always celebrates others, Naomi's team thought it was due time that Naomi herself be celebrated! For her unwavering and caring disposition toward her team, we surprised Naomi with our first BEE Award (Being Extraordinary Everyday) of 2025! 🐝

  • Let's give a warm welcome to Jill Falling, MA, Professional Counseling 🤍 She was recently hired as Manager of The Caring House, a nonprofit organization of Huntsville Hospital that supports children who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Jill is a Huntsville native (Go Tigers! 🐯 - Grissom High School '93) who has always been passionate about helping others. Inspired by her own experiences, she felt a calling to support individuals during challenging times. After several years in the world of counseling, Jill is excited to contribute to the invaluable work of The Caring House, providing a safe and supportive environment for children and families navigating grief. When she's not caring for others, Jill enjoys spending time with her four children and expressing her creativity through her balloon artistry at Groovy Balloon Co. Jill brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate heart to this role. We are thrilled to have her on the team and she's already having a big impact!
