↔️❔ What lies behind the choices we haven’t made? In the world of research, uncertainty is a constant companion. Each decision we make comes with its own set of unknowns, making the path forward less clear. While we can’t predict the future with certainty, what if we could remove as many uncertainties as possible to optimize our project and unlock its full potential? That’s exactly what we’re working towards - minimizing uncertainties to make smarter, more informed choices and ensure the success of our project. For that reason, we are excited to present to you our project partner HyCentA Research GmbH! The HyCentA - Hydrogen Research Center Austria supports the project with 19 years of research experience in the field of green hydrogen technology. The independent research facility located at the Technische Universität Graz collaborates with leading industry and academic partners on projects related to the production, distribution, storage, and application of renewable hydrogen, covering the entire value chain. With their specialization in the development and testing of innovative hydrogen production methods, storage solutions and fuel cells, supported by a modern testing facility, they gather most valuable information about our technology platform: 🔄 📈 Their advanced modeling and simulation capabilities allows us to predict and optimize the behavior of fuel cell systems under various operating conditions. ⚡🛡️In addition, their specialized knowledge in the diagnosis and monitoring of fuel cell systems (PEM FC), provides us with valuable insights into the performance and long-term stability of these systems. 💡🌱Apart from that, the team also conducts thorough technical and economic analyses to assess and evaluate the viability and impact of fuel cell technologies. This helps us to further develop and optimize the fuel cell operational strategies with the goals of maximizing efficiency and lifespan while minimizing energy consumption. Learn more about HyCentA's motivation for joining Hy.CoMM in the second slide. #NRMM #RenewableHydrogen #FuelCells #PEMFC #ConstructionMachinery #Innovation #ResearchProject

🎮 ✅ How can we stay on track and handle bumpy roads? The technology platform created in the Hy.CoMM project will have to sustain difficult terrain. And so do we. The process of research and development may sometimes feel like a bumpy road, but with the right coordination and monitoring, we can make sure both to stay on track and master these challenges on cruise control. Therefore, we are excited to present the project coordinator Fraunhofer IVI ! 💡 With 25 years of experience, the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI is developing technologies and concepts for mobility, energy, as well as safety and security – from forward-looking preliminary research to practical applications in everyday use. Its transport-related research work ranges from the field of vehicle and propulsion systems to intelligent transport systems, and it also covers the areas of disposition, logistics and digital business processes. In the field of hydrogen and fuel cell systems, Fraunhofer IVI supports clients and partners during essential steps in the implementation of hybrid propulsion solutions involving fuel cell systems. 📊 🔍 Bringing in this expertise, Fraunhofer IVI keeps their eyes on the road as well as the dashboard, because monitoring the vehicle’s parameters is a key strategy to ensure the consistent operation and increase the economic efficiency. In practice, this means to create fuel cell degradation models which can provide crucial information about their state of use. In addition, back-end fuel cell and powertrain diagnostics will be performed to enhance the safety and reliability of the vehicle. In this context, they will also be responsible for the powertrain energy management. To realize all this, Fraunhofer IVI relies on the expertise of their researchers - for instance Thanuj Singaravelan who recently presented the first results gained in Hy.CoMM to an expert audience at HZwo's Fuel Cell Conference in Chemnitz, Saxony - as well as the experience gained from the practical application and use of telemetry systems. The management expertise brought in by Martin Ufert will make sure that Hy.CoMM stays on track even if the road might get bumpy. #hydrogen #fuelcells #constructionmachinery #innovation #researchproject #batterydiagnostics #telemetry #energymanagement

What drives tomorrow’s mobility? ... in a literal sense. 😊 One of the challenges we have to face on our journey is to design a #hydrogen-powered vehicle that can ☔ 🌬️ withstand rough conditions and ⛰️ ⚠️ move effortless in difficult terrain. To make this happen, we needed the right partner. And so, we are excited to give today's stage to IMK Engineering GmbH! For more than 30 years, IMK engineering GmbH has been providing international high-ranking customers from heavy machinery, #construction and #mining machinery industries as well as the defense industry with: 🔧 high quality mechanical 3D construction, 🧮 technical calculations, ⚡ realizations of fully-electronic projects and the 🚚 delivery of prototypes and small series. With this knowledge, they will make our vehicle drive - in concrete terms, this means developing and designing the #drivetrain of our vehicle. In this process, suitable chassis components and power electronics will be selected. In the next step, a CAD design of the entire chassis will be created in coordination with the interfaces to the vehicle chassis and control system. To create a truly robust vehicle suitable for harsh conditions, they will conduct a strength analysis of the chassis structure and connection points using the #FEM method, to make sure the vehicle meets the standards for construction and mining machines. What drives IMK? Read their answer on the second slide. #hydrogen #fuelcells #constructionmachinery #innovation #researchproject #VehicleDesign #DrivetrainDevelopment #ChassisDesign
