Using research and policy to promote antiracism as a core value and institutional norm

About us

The Institutional Antiracism and Accountability Project (IARA), based at Harvard University, promotes antiracism as a core value and institutional norm through rigorous research and real-time policy analysis. Our research is cross-sector and independent. We critically evaluate policies and practices for antiracist change so that practitioners can implement effective, lasting solutions. We aim to move organizations from words to action to accountability. IARA works at the intersection of community, academia, and policy. We address intellectual and practical questions as they related to antiracism policy, practice, and institutional change. Our research identifies the best interventions for achieving racial equity in organizations of in multiple sectors, from healthcare, to education, private, nonprofit, and governmental.
