As we step into 2025, we’re thrilled to share that the IARA Project is embarking on a new chapter. Beginning in the new year, we will continue our work at a new home institution: the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. In the letter below, Professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad reflects on the significance of this transition and outlines what’s to come. On behalf of the IARA team, we would like to thank everyone at the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation for their enormous support and kindness in our years working together. We’re deeply grateful for this community and look forward to continued collaboration. We might be moving to Princeton, but this LinkedIn page isn't going anywhere. Stay tuned for updates in the new year! 💫
I am thrilled to share that the Institutional Antiracism & Accountability Project (IARA) will begin its next chapter at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs in the new year. I will also join the Department of African American Studies, Princeton University as the inaugural Professor of African American Studies and Public Affairs. This transition comes at a pivotal moment, as the importance of our work deepens amid unprecedented global challenges to democratic norms and values. Many in this community are asking: how do we defend our values and continue to pursue truth and equity? The IARA Project remains committed to seeking answers to these questions. In this year-end letter, I reflect on the transformative conversations led by the IARA Project over the past year and highlight the exciting work that will continue at our new home: https://lnkd.in/dpMUEuvN.
