Throughout the month of February, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education celebrated #CTEMonth, joined by students and educators across the state to share support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) on social media using the hashtags “#WhyCTE” and “#CTEShowcase." CTE serves as a significant impact on over 250,000 Hoosier students each year, allowing students to earn credits toward certifications and explore career paths that continue to shape our future leaders in Indiana.

Parents of high school seniors and current college students: College Goal Sunday is this Sunday, Feb. 23, from 2-4 pm local time. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education’s FAFSA Completion Dashboard is now live. This dashboard was intentionally developed by our team to provide real-time, transparent insights into FAFSA filing trends across Indiana—by school, region, and county. With the 2025-26 FAFSA officially open, this dashboard allows schools, organizations, and the Commission to track filing rates and proactively respond to trends that impact students’ access to financial aid. Last year, Indiana was a national leader despite federal delays and issues, ranking 2nd in year-over-year FAFSA filing rate increases for high school seniors. Every other year, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education hosts the Faculty Leadership Conference to discuss pressing issues facing faculty across the state. This year's theme was "Innovation in the Classroom: Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education."    Attendees heard from a variety of experts and engaged in meaningful discussions surrounding AI in the classroom, labs, business, and society. Indiana's institutions continue to adapt and evolve with the everchanging world of AI, helping to set the state up to become a hub for research, innovation, and technology.    Thank you to Faculty Commission Member Chad Lochmiller for all his hard work planning this event! The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is now accepting applications for the Director of Academic Affairs and Transfer. The Director of Academic Affairs and Transfer is primarily responsible for carrying out the statutory responsibilities of the Commission for Higher Education related to high school dual credit/dual enrollment and the transfer of academic credit among all public and participating private non-profit institutions. Additional responsibilities include:  - Maintaining the Commission’s public-facing resources and online tools, such as My College Core and TransferIN. - Working with public and independent institutions to maintain up-to-date Advanced Placement (AP), CLEP, Cambridge International, and International Baccalaureate (IB) exam equivalencies. - Serving as the Commission’s primary liaison with the Indiana Department of Education, other partner state agencies, and relevant external stakeholders regarding high school dual credit/dual enrollment, particularly policy development, implementation, and promotion.
