Celebrating those at Idaho Power who work so hard to show our next generation the power of #STEM -- Happy #STEMDAY!
It’s no secret I’m passionate about STEM education and what science, technology, engineering, and math can do to help solve the world’s problems. That’s why I’m proud to work with others who have dedicated their careers to solving problems here at Idaho Power and to sharing the power of #STEM with future generations. Idaho Power Education and Outreach Energy Advisors work with teachers and community organizations across our service area to ignite a passion for STEM in students of all ages. I’m grateful to these employees—and the educators they work alongside in our schools—for their dedication to ensuring the next generation of thinkers and problem solvers are ready to take on the world’s challenges. Happy National #STEMDay!

We had a great time lending some #VolunteerPower to United Way of Treasure Valley for their annual Holiday Helpers event. Led by VP of Planning, Engineering, & Construction Mitch Colburn and Energy Efficiency Program Leader Chellie Jensen, our Capital Region, Canyon Region, and Corporate Communications teams raised enough funds to purchase nuts and trail mix for 2,500 care packages United Way will be packing and distributing to local families for the holidays. We also worked with other local partners to help secure more donations. We love stepping up to help our communities!
