Excited to share the trailer for Homestead, coming to theaters December 20th! Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gG9HCscc During production, my talented friend and DP, Matthew Rivera, and I developed a custom show LUT. Our goal was to enhance the rich fall colors of Homestead, giving the film a warm look that draws inspiration from the color palette of classic print film, while still maintaining the modern character of the Sony Venice 2's 8K digital capture. For grading, I used the scene referred look from our LUT as the foundation in DaVinci Resolve, working within the ACES color management pipeline. The final grade was completed in our theater at IDC LA, using our 4K Barco projector. I’m proud of how it all came together and can’t wait for you to see the full film in theaters!

The Audio Description Department at idc - International Digital Centre is honored to be nominated for an Audience Choice Award by the American Council of the Blind for our work on the Netflix series "All the Light We Cannot See" This project featured the most involvement from members of the disability community than any other we've created thus far. Fern Lulham did a wonderful job narrating the audio tracks. Both for the series and all the trailers/marketing supplementals we created. Joe Strechay and his assistant Cara Lee Hrdlitschka did a thorough pass on writer Liz Gutman's AD scripts and gave detailed feedback on details like the specific ways the main character Marie navigates her world, as well as the technology she used (including her canes and Braille writer) so we could be more specific about those moments in the description. Haben Girma provided a thorough reading of our Descriptive Transcript (IDC's first-ever) and contributed feedback that helped smooth out and clarify a few key scenes. Star Aria Mia Loberti not only gave notes on the AD script, but also narrated our Audio Introduction (https://rb.gy/ut2dpz) - the first-ever commissioned by a streaming platform. She included some behind-the-scenes info on both scripts as well! A true team effort and a project we're incredibly proud of here at IDC.
