The voice of the North American lubricants industry.
About us
A thriving lubricants industry means a thriving American economy! ILMA (the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association) is the voice of independent businesses who formulate lubricants and metalworking fluids to improve performance and increase efficiency. Our members make specialized lubricants for everything from backhoes to bone screws. Our products keep planes in the air; cars on the road; and the machines in businesses, households and hospitals running efficiently. Without lubricants and metalworking fluids, American businesses and manufacturing would grind to a halt. In an accelerating global market with little concern for proprietary boundaries, ILMA’s singular voice for independent innovation and competition has never been more important!

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has published a list of 47 common vulnerabilities and exposures that were routinely or often exploited by malicious actors last year. Although this report is on 2023 activity, the data are relevant and useful because malicious cyber actors continue to exploit older vulnerabilities. The agency recommends specific mitigations in the advisory, including applying timely patches to systems. ILMA members should share the advisory with their IT managers and ensure steps are taken to protect their businesses from cyber threats. 👉 https://bit.ly/3ZayIM2

ILMA, as part of the Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity (PPWO), has requested that the Department of Labor delay the second increase to the minimum salary threshold to at least May 1, 2025, in light of pending litigation. “This additional time will ensure that employers will not be forced to implement the new salary threshold when it might not survive judicial review, which is currently underway,” the letter states. “The court in Texas has a hearing on the case today,” noted ILMA General Counsel Jeffrey Leiter. “While the court could rule from the bench today, it might be a few weeks.” 👉 https://lnkd.in/euNEFjux

In a statement released today, National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) President Jay Timmons urged president-elect Trump to define his administration with manufacturing-friendly policies. "Every election represents a new beginning, providing a fresh opportunity to work with and for all Americans, no matter their political affiliation, and to recommit ourselves to the American experiment," Timmons said. "We have worked with you during your time in office to enact historic wins for the 13 million people who make things in America, to drive increased investment in the sector, create jobs and provide for communities across the country. Now it’s time to get to work to address the policies that will define your administration." 👉 https://bit.ly/4hyu1mz
