Access to connected data is essential for providing context 🌐 In generative AI 🤖. An insightful report from Accenture on the data essentials. It very much aligns with our view on Industrial data readiness. The report indicates that "75% of executives believe that good quality data 📊 is the most valuable factor in enhancing their generative AI capabilities." However, in an industrial context, 'quality' doesn't merely refer to incorrect data caused by machine or human error 🤖❌, which accounts for less than 1% of data quality issues. Instead, clean data in this context refers to the absence of meaning, relationships, and context associated with the data. At IndustryApps we focus on this specific issue. Contact us to learn more.

The European Commission's vision for a sustainable future continues with the introduction of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) in the textile industry. This sector, deeply entwined with our daily lives, faces significant challenges related to sustainability and ethical production. The DPP aims to address these issues by enhancing traceability and accountability throughout the textile supply chain. The primary reasons for implementing the DPP in the textile industry are consumer protection, responsible resource usage, and reducing the carbon footprint. By providing detailed information about a product's origin, materials, and production processes, the DPP helps consumers make more sustainable and ethical choices. It also promotes the responsible use of resources by encouraging recycling and reducing waste. Imagine being able to verify the authenticity of a garment, distinguishing an original piece from a counterfeit, just like scanning a passport. This transparency is crucial in combating counterfeit goods and ensuring that consumers receive what they pay for. Beyond authenticity, the DPP plays a vital role in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). By recording the entire supply chain, it helps ensure that ethical practices are followed, such as prohibiting child labor and ensuring fair working conditions. This transparency is not only beneficial for consumers but also empowers them to make informed choices that support responsible companies. By embracing the DPP technology, the textile sector can enhance consumer trust, support responsible production, and contribute to a more sustainable future. #TextilePassport #Ecodesign #CSR #CircularEconomy #ConsumerTransparency #BrandTrust

"𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 '𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞' – 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬 '𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧' 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬!" In today’s competitive landscape, manufacturers are constantly being told they need to be more "agile." But here’s where the misunderstanding comes in: Agile software development is about adapting, iterating, and refining continuously. While this works for developers, it doesn’t necessarily match the real needs of manufacturers, who require reliable, ready-to-use solutions. What manufacturers should focus on instead is App Installation and Functionalities. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬: 1. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝: Why waste time on endless iterations when you can install a solution that’s already been built, tested, and perfected? With app installation, the product is ready to use, right out of the box. 2. 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Rather than getting caught up in the process of software development, manufacturers should focus on which apps have the specific functionalities they need to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and drive productivity. 3. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: App installation delivers pre-configured functionalities that match the needs of manufacturers. From inventory management to production monitoring, these apps are purpose-built and proven to work in the real world. 4. 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲: Agile methods often require ongoing tweaks and testing. App installation, on the other hand, provides a solution that has already been optimized, so manufacturers can focus on leveraging the right features and tools rather than worrying about how the software is built. 5. 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤, 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: Manufacturers need stability and certainty. With app installation, you get tried-and-tested functionalities that have been designed to solve specific problems—right now. No ongoing experimentation, no surprises. It’s time for manufacturers to shift the focus away from developing software from scratch or constantly tweaking. Instead, look for 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 and install them for immediate impact. 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 -> 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 -> 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - > 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Digital Transformation is a Journey with many sprints!
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠? Agile values are often discussed in the context of software development, but how do they translate to manufacturing? Let's explore: 1️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 Manufacturing tends to be siloed, with few software developers, often supported by IT. How do we bridge the gap? 2️⃣ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 What defines "working software" in manufacturing? Can we afford disruptions due to bugs in deployed software? 3️⃣ 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 I believe "customer" should be replaced with "user," representing any internal customer in the organization. Long-term contracts can be burdensome if the software doesn’t address real pain points. 4️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 Both are crucial. A balanced approach is needed, with room for small, strategic changes that fit into the overall roadmap. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐨 𝐖𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤? 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐫: 1️⃣ 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 - Align business goals with a strategic plan. - Ensure the plan meets user requirements. - Map these requirements to specific functions. 2️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 - Map functions to curated COTS solutions. 3️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 - Ensure solutions meet technical specs for subscription models.
