Calling all AI experts - We Want YOU 🫵 Amid a global shortage of artificial intelligence (AI) experts, we have unveiled pilot programs to attract foreign talent to its high-tech industry, with the aim of integrating at least 200 AI professionals into Israeli startups over the next three years. The programs are part of Israel’s National AI Program and focus on importing highly skilled talent, including foreign experts, returning Israeli citizens, and individuals eligible under the Law of Return. Selected organizations—Nisha Group - קבוצת נישה Hitech in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, Gvahim Entrepreneurs with The Jewish Agency for Israel, and ScienceAbroad collaborating with Nefesh B'Nefesh and others—will recruit and place experts in unfilled roles while facilitating their relocation and integration into Israeli society. Israel’s leadership in “vertical AI,” where #artificial_intelligence drives innovation across diverse industries, has made the country a hub for AI technology. According to StartupBlink report - Israel is ranked 2nd in the AI startup industry for the second year in a row!🥈 The report, a joint initiative of StartupBlink and IBM for Startups, ranks the AI startup industry of 21 countries and 50 cities worldwide. According to this report, while the US dominates both the AI startup industry and global ecosystem, Israel secures second place globally🥈, leading the UK, (ranked 3rd) by 30% in the AI startup industry. This substantial gap highlights Israel's strength as an AI hub, despite the UK's broader ecosystem dominance. Moreover, in the list of top cities in AI startup industry, both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem secured prominent ranking (7th and 25th respectively), while six out of top ten AI cities are from the US, highlighting its dominance in AI innovation, while European and Asia-Pacific cities are less prominent among the top positions. In term of AI startup funding, 2024 rates fall significantly from the record investments of the previous year, amounting to $11.8 billion compared to 2023's record of $44.2 billion.
