It was a beautiful day in Maricopa County, Arizona for the official ribbon cutting of the El Sol Energy Storage Center, our 10th battery storage project to have reached commercial operations since the beginning of 2023. Youngtown Mayor Michael LeVault did the honors of cutting the ribbon following remarks from himself, ACC Commissioner Lea Marquez Peterson, Senator Frank Carroll & Jill Freret from Arizona Public Service - APS. “Invenergy’s commitment to this community started long before today, having worked for many years to build strong relationships throughout the process of bringing this project to life. We thank the local community and our local partners for making El Sol possible, and we are excited to be here today to celebrate this milestone.” - Joel Schroeder, Executive Vice President of Engineering and Technology at Invenergy.

We're thrilled to see several Invenergy customers on the list of organizations taking advantage of cleaner, more reliable and more affordable energy sources like solar. Since the Invenergy Veterans Network (IVN)'s formation in 2017, Invenergy employees and members of IVN have taken volunteer time off for Veterans Day to volunteer at the Fisher House Foundation, an organization that builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital. This past Veterans Day, our team enjoyed connecting, cooking for, and playing bingo with veterans and their loved ones at the Fisher House in Hines, Illinois, building a stronger community and honoring their sacrifice and service. #VeteransDay #VeteransNetwork

Invenergy's offshore wind and transmission teams had an eventful few days engaging with industry stakeholders, policymakers, environmental and community organizations, and more on both coasts last week! In Atlantic City, New Jersey, the team attended the American Clean Power Association (ACP) Offshore WINDPOWER Conference. Invenergy was proud to serve as a conference sponsor, and our colleagues appreciated the opportunity to convene with industry stakeholders to discuss the progress and work ahead for the offshore wind industry, in the region, and beyond. #ACPOffshore24 On the West Coast, Invenergy also attended and sponsored the California ISO Symposium in Sacramento, California, where team members had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and provide expertise around the importance of aligning long-term transmission planning with the buildout of floating offshore wind in California. #ISOSympo2024
