I just wrapped up a great visit with the GE Vernova Wind team at Pattern Energy’s 2.4 GW #SunZia project site in New Mexico. Together with the Pattern Energy Group and Blattner site teams – we completed a two-day genba walk to experience a day in the life of our teams who are building this mega project that is expected to ultimately deliver clean energy to more than 3 million Americans.    Deploying 674 of our 3.6 MW-154m turbines and our #workhorse strategy is already paying dividends as we work as One Team to deliver with closed-loop quality across design, manufacturing & installation. I couldn’t be prouder of the teams who are bringing this project to life while focusing first and foremost on safety and quality.

Henvey Inlet First Nation is wind energy to create a secure and independent future. Henvey Inlet Wind is a partnership between the First Nation and Pattern Energy, with the Nation receiving half of the project’s equity and veto powers on anything related to the Land, among other community benefits. The wind project generates income that goes directly into the community to support future generations. “We’re seeing the fruits of our labours now. We’re able to do more for our members,” said Chief Wayne McQuabbie, adding that before the wind project, the Nation’s only income was from cottage leasing and government funding. “We’re done dealing with poverty.”

We are honored to have SunZia Wind and Transmission recognized with the North America Wind Deal of the Year 2023 at the Proximo Infra US Power, Renewables, and Energy Transition event! The award reflects the hard work, collaboration, and dedication of everyone involved. This project represents the largest clean energy infrastructure project in the Western Hemisphere and a major milestone in accelerating the energy transition. Our team is always looking for ways to serve the community, embodying the holiday spirit throughout the year. This past August, folks in our San Francisco office put together 50 diaper bags to support the work of Homeless Children’s Network (HCN). Each bag included essentials like bottles, pacifiers, and special goodies for parents and their families.

Logan’s Gap Wind has a head start on National Recycling Day! ♻️ The site team takes stewardship seriously, developing initiatives to recycle light bulbs, dry cell batteries, circuit boards, and more.
