2024 in review: We launched Infra Finder, our #OpenInfrastructure discovery and evaluation tool with verified information to help institutions, libraries, funders, and other organizations find the infrastructure solutions that suit their needs. Infra Finder has since recorded 8000+ visits from 90 countries. We continue to hear from the community about how they're using Infra Finder, from using the solution categories to better understand their infrastructure use, to the profile pages to quickly share key information about open infrastructures with colleagues and networks. 💬 How have you been using Infra Finder? Last month, IOI, in collaboration with colleagues from WACREN and the Institute for Contemporary Theoretical Physics (ICTP), hosted a workshop focused on strengthening Africa’s climate research infrastructure. The workshop brought together researchers, data experts, and infrastructure providers from across West and Central Africa to: 🔎 identify critical data infrastructure needs for addressing climate change and food insecurity. 🔎 explore potential funding opportunities and strategies. 🔎 discuss collaborative approaches to building and sustaining data infrastructure that center the needs of communities most affected by climate change.
