Invitation Homes is continuing to carefully monitor the devastating wildfires in Southern California, and we are staying in communication with our residents and associates in affected areas to prioritize their safety.     We are providing residents whose homes were directly impacted by the fires with alternative accommodation and are continuing to support the relief efforts of the American Red Cross as a National Disaster Responder member. We have made an additional contribution to bolster their efforts on the ground in the LA area and have also introduced a special rental offer that waives fees and offers $1,000 off the first month’s rent for new residents in our Southern California market. Our thoughts and support remain with everyone impacted by these fires, as well as those still in their path.  

Our Executive Vice President and Chief Information & Digital Officer, Virginia Suliman, recently discussed Invitation Homes’ technological leadership in the single-family rental industry with Nareit. From our resident-facing mobile app and web-based leasing experience to the technology-enabled processes in our third-party property management business, we utilize technology to enhance the resident and associate experience. Even during the busy holiday season, our team prioritizes community involvement and giving back. At the end of 2024, several members of our South Florida team volunteered with community partner Junior Achievement of South Florida at Biztown. This simulated city teaches 5th graders how to apply the lessons they learn in the classroom to everyday life. Invitation Homes volunteers joined parents and teachers in guiding students as they tested out scenarios and gained hands-on experience in how a real city operates. In 2025, we look forward to participating in more volunteer and service opportunities that change the lives of our neighbors each day. #InvitationHomes #invh #volunteering 

With 2024 being called one of the slowest housing markets in thirty years, The New York Times reports that increasing supply may be one of the only ways to exit the housing crisis in the new year. The US is short around 4 million homes, and not just because existing homeowners are reluctant to sell due to high mortgage rates and home prices. Housing inventory remains low due to undersupply, as the national population has outpaced the rate of new home construction. What’s the silver lining here? Invitation Homes CEO Dallas Tanner recently joined CNBC Overtime to share insights on the current state of the housing market as we approach 2025 and how Invitation Homes’ homebuilder partners are adding supply to the market to ease constraints. “We have roughly 2,000 units under contract or in contract to be built at this point in the marketplace. With our national homebuilder partners, there’s an opportunity to do a lot more of that here in the future,” said Dallas. “On the for-lease side of it, we’ve got to continue to lean in and build more of what people are calling BTR.” #invitationhomes #INVH
