2024 saw the implementation Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (#CMMC) 2.0, the DOD’s framework to streamline its #cybersecurity measures and practices into a single, cohesive Zero Trust Strategy. The handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (#CUI) needs to be taken seriously as it requires strict adherence to #compliance regulations and #dataclassification guideline. Following data marking best practices with strict access control that stem from the #ZeroTrustArchitecture (ZTA) slogan “Never trust, always verify” is a good way to ensure that sensitive data is only shared and seen by those who have the proper permissions.
