𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐉𝐒𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 “I still have life in my eyes,” said Dr. Robert Brown, 76, as he reunited with #yourJSO Chief of Patrol Support, Jaime Eason, who helped save his life. On December 11th, Brown collapsed during a Toastmasters meeting at Aspire Church. He went into cardiac arrest—without a pulse or heartbeat. Thankfully, as members called 9-1-1, Chief Eason happened to be walking nearby in San Marco Square. They quickly flagged her down, and she rushed inside to perform CPR. The church was well-equipped with an AED, which Eason used to bring Brown back to life. Jacksonville Fire Rescue then rushed him to a nearby hospital, where his daughter was working at the time. We’re happy to report that Dr. Brown is alive and well. Just days after the near-death experience, he celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary with his wife, Wanda. A month later, he attended another beloved Toastmasters meeting, where he reunited with his guardian angels—including Chief Eason (we surprised her!). We’re proud of the work our men and women do every day. This is yet another example of how we are your #JSO, and we love our community.
