The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation awarded the Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s Sentinel Landscape Partnership $1.5 million through the America the Beautiful challenge. The partnership intends to restore 829 acres of prairie-oak habitat across 13 sites on base with this grant.   https://lnkd.in/gwHPS86y

The 2025 Basic Allowance for Housing rates, as part of a robust military compensation package, continue the member cost-sharing element at five percent of the national average housing cost by pay grade. These amounts vary by grade and dependency status and range from $90 to $202 monthly for the 2025 rates. Even with this cost-sharing element, the overall military pay and benefits package remains competitive and healthy.

DOD SNAPSHOT: The 2023 Demographics Profile of the Military Community report includes information related to gender, race and ethnicity, age, paygrade and education for active duty, Reserve and National Guard personnel in all of the military services. It also includes information about the number of service members who are married and how many service members have children.

The Army and the Navy put on a great show for nearly 2,000 fans at Lumen Field for the annual Army-Navy flag football game Dec. 8. The defensive showdown went down to the last seconds of the game, with the Navy holding on to a 2-0 win.   https://lnkd.in/gN7N3gs9

As we get ready for the 24th annual Army-Navy flag football series Dec. 8 at Lumen Field in Seattle, here’s a look back at JBLM’s current three-game win streak over the Sailors and Marines from Naval Bases Kitsap, Everett and Whidbey Island and when the series started in 2000.

The Army-Navy flag football series started in 2000 to coincide with the Army-Navy college football game. Navy still leads the flag football series 14-9.

Representatives from nearly every unit on Joint Base Lewis-McChord were on hand to take part in the Holiday Assistance Program kickoff ceremony at the Family Resource Center on Lewis Main Nov. 19.
