  • Congratulations to Delta Air Lines on the launch of its inaugural flight from JFK T4 to Lagos, Nigeria! Terminal 4 is Delta’s home at JFK, and our team at JFKIAT is proud to support this exciting milestone, connecting T4 travelers to one of Africa’s most dynamic cities. • As a Queens-based business, JFKIAT has been deeply involved in work to support the well-being of our community, all year-round as well as during the holiday season. Through our 4GOOD program, chaired by Vernon M. Taylor, this marks the 6th consecutive year that had the honor of donating turkeys to our community partner, Bethany Baptist Church and for the first time to Vine Baptist Church. And partnered with Crescent Companies & Senator Leroy Comrie to donate meals at the JFK Redevelopment Community Center during this season of giving. We are proud to collaborate with these organizations that make a positive impact in our community and are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the borough we call home. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Roel Huinink recently spoke with NY1's Around the Boroughs to discuss our investment in Green-e® certified Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to support the transition to green electricity and JFKIAT’s continued efforts to combat climate change in the aviation industry.   This investment in partnership with The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) is a critical step forward in advancing the development of renewable energy production that will help us reduce our energy consumption.   This program is our latest move to elevate our sustainability initiatives at T4, making a positive impact on the Queens community and greater environment. With sustainability at the center of our strategy, we will continue to take action and invest in initiatives focused on creating a greener future for all.

  • In partnership with KultureCity, we just marked the unveiling of a new sensory pod at T4, a dedicated space for those who need a quieter and more secure environment. As part of our mission to deliver incredible journeys at T4, we have developed a comprehensive program to create an inclusive environment for everyone, supporting those who may experience sensitivities during their travels. Our partnership with KultureCity is our latest step to expand these initiatives, ensuring a more comfortable travel experience for our passengers as we enter the busy holiday season. Thank you to KultureCity and Joy Palmer, M. Ed., Stephen Kunken, Kelly AuCoin, and Amelina Skyla for making this possible!

  • Yesterday, our airline partner Emirates’ stunning new NBA-themed A380 livery arrived at T4 to celebrate its exciting new sponsorship of the Emirates NBA Cup. During the visit, the Emirates NBA Cup trophy was presented in the presence of NBA legend James Worthy, NBA commissioner Adam Silver and representatives of Emirates and JFKIAT.   For 20 years, JFKIAT has built a strong relationship with Emirates, an airline that consistently provides exceptional travel experiences to millions of passengers traveling to the Middle East. Now, Terminal 4 passengers can enjoy the NBA experience onboard, with select Emirates NBA Cup broadcasts on Sport24 on ice, and Emirates’ inflight entertainment system. Emirates’ commitment to innovation and unique offerings continues to set a high standard in air travel. We are proud to continue this partnership as they accomplish new milestones and redefine the journey for travelers worldwide.   Photo by: Vincenzo PACE

  • As stewards of one of New York’s busiest air terminals, JFKIAT prioritizes the security of everyone at T4 above all else. We have continued to elevate our safety and security practices to become best-in-class within our industry. Last week, we were proud to host our 10th Annual Safety and Security Conference, which was expanded to two days for the first time. The sessions provided actionable insights, exercises to ensure preparedness during a crisis, and discussions that strengthened vital partnerships with JFK stakeholders and reinforced our commitment to safety and resilience.   Addressing the topic of Airport Crisis Response: Survivor and Family Assistance, this year’s conference drew hundreds of participants from throughout Terminal 4 and the JFK Airport community. Attendees heard from some of our industry’s brightest and most experienced thought leaders in the field of Aviation Safety and Emergency Management, including Frank Ciaccio of Houston Airports, Robert Merrill of United Airlines, Max Green of the National Transportation Safety Board, Teresa Rizzuto of the Port Authority of NY&NJ, Karen Schlendorf of the Red Cross among other experts.   Thank you to our guest speakers, the exercise panel, our sponsors, and all who attended to participate in this vital discussion, and who continue to work together to ensure the highest level of partnership, making our safety and security practices the gold standard for JFK Airport and for the aviation industry. • We, together with our partners of Paradies Lagardère and Starbucks, held a ribbon cutting to officially announce the opening of our new, long-awaited Starbucks in JFK T4’s Concourse B near gate B27.   The newly opened Starbucks pays homage to the borough’s rugged industrial past featuring brick bookending the storefront and framing the store, and art designed by Brooklyn-based artist Misha Tyutyunik that connects this universally loved coffee brand with a unique local atmosphere.   As T4’s transformation continues, we are excited to introduce fresh culinary concepts and retail offerings that strengthen T4’s distinctly New York City identity. Stay tuned for more news on our commercial program in the coming weeks and months! Photo by: Airport Voice
