Healthcare Design recognizes The MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Behavioral Health Center among its “5 Noteworthy Behavioral Health Projects” The MetroHealth Cleveland Heights Behavioral Health Center fulfilled a critical community need by providing 112 inpatient beds to treat adults, adolescents, and seniors facing addiction and mental health challenges. Working alongside Hasenstab Architects, Inc., Karpinski Engineering provided MEPT & FP Design, contributing to the facility's modern infrastructure and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and innovative healthcare environment. From advanced HVAC systems that ensure clean air to lighting and electrical systems that create a calming atmosphere, the newly constructed addition systems were thoughtfully designed with patient care and safety at the forefront. Behind the scenes, robust plumbing, fire suppression, and technology infrastructure help keep the facility running smoothly and safely. Features like nurse call systems, emergency power, and responsive building automation add extra layers of care and security for both patients and providers. This project reflects how thoughtful engineering can make a lasting impact, turning a vision for better healthcare into reality.
