Empower. Unite. Transform. Together, We Conquer Diabetes.

About us

The Kendall Wyche Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment in the fight against diabetes. Founded by Constantine Alleyne, a dedicated advocate and mother to a daughter living with type 1 diabetes, our foundation is driven by a profound commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by this condition. Our mission is clear: to provide support, resources, and education to empower those navigating the challenges of diabetes and to advocate for health equity in our communities. At the heart of our foundation are three groundbreaking books, each offering a unique perspective and invaluable insights into diabetes management and caregiving. "Mommy Please Don't Let Me Die Here: A Mother & Daughter’s Courageous Journey Through Type 1 Diabetes" chronicles the inspiring journey of Constantine and Kendall, offering hope and encouragement to families facing similar challenges. "Kendall's Diabetes Adventure: A Tale of Courage and Hope" shares Kendall's story of resilience, inspiring children and families alike. "Caregiver's Corner: Nurturing You" serves as a self-care journal designed to empower caregivers, providing essential tools and resources to support their well-being amidst the demands of caregiving. In addition to our books, the Kendall Wyche Foundation offers a range of transformative initiatives aimed at empowering individuals and communities affected by diabetes. Our "Field of Dreams" program provides support and resources for student athletes navigating type 1 diabetes, while "Youth Voices Unveiled" amplifies the voices of young people living with diabetes. Our "E.A.T." (Enriched Awareness of Type 1) program promotes diabetes education and support through engaging culinary events, and our "Diabetes Mural Project" raises awareness and promotes dialogue around diabetes through community art installations. Together, we have the power to shift rooms, change perceptions, and drive real progress towards health equity.
