It’s pretty common for conversations at networking and social events to start with the question, “What do you do?” It is easier (and more comfortable) to talk about the actions that fill our days over the values and qualities that drive who we are. And yet we are human beings, not human doings. As we take a moment in this month’s newsletter to remind you of WHAT Keyhubs does to support #socialhealth and shared #workplacewisdom, we want to ground this in WHO we are. Keyhubs is your partner and guide in bringing more #humanconnection to work. We value #selfawareness, #feedback, #sharedlearning, and #communityengagement as pillars of organizational change and growth. We cultivate #authenticity, #honesty, #trust, and #belonging in our relationships. We thrive on working with you to co-create relevant, transformative solutions for your unique organizational needs. How do we do this? Read our September newsletter to learn more about Keyhubs’ four pathways for revealing #workplacedynamics and building stronger connections for greater team #alignment, #engagement, and #fulfillment. This is only half of the conversation, though. We are eager to hear more about YOU. Not the "What do you do?" chat, but the "What makes you YOU?" heart-to-heart. We can even start it here in the comments. Pick a question and share a bit of what makes you feel alive! 1. What are you excited about these days? 2. Where are you getting an opportunity to experiment or play? 3. If you could be anywhere other than right here right now, where would you be? 4. Who is your biggest source of support and positive energy right now? 5. What would make this month awesome for you? #organizationalhealth #organizationaldevelopment #workplaceculture #peoplefirst #relationshipsmatter #humanbeingsnotdoings #betterconversations

We are so very proud of our co-founder, Priya Narula! Not just because she was named MEDA - Metropolitan Economic Development Association's Entrepreneur of the Year, but also for all the ways she embraces and grows through challenges by leaning into her passion, perseverance, and community. Priya embodies Keyhubs' values of lifelong learning, transformative relationships, and creative collaborations. Our informal network maps and polls are one way we cultivate these pillars of success with our business partners. Our community gatherings are another way we cultivate these assets beyond the scope of our business. If you want to embrace challenges, grow personally and professionally, and connect in meaningful ways, we'd love to have a conversation about the power of relationships! #businesschallenges #perseverance #peoplepower #organizationaldevelopment #teamdynamics #companyculture #informalnetworks #leadership #collaboration #lifelonglearning Priya's example of the power of community-based, lifelong learning is made possible by these great people and organizations, and many more: Vikas Narula, Lani Basa, Tom Wiese, Krista Porvaznik, Dan Neitz, Interise, MEDA, The BWC - The Business Women's Circle, Minneapolis College...

It was our honor and pleasure to share the Keyhubs and Neighborhood Forest story with the Midway Chamber of Commerce last week. Whatever "forest" you work, play, or live in relies on each member of the ecosystem contributing to the whole. Forests of trees have much to teach us about connection and communication. When we see the roles and contributions of all the various parts, when we invest in their wellbeing and success, the entire biosphere thrives. If you don't have a clear picture of how well your organization or its individual members are doing in terms of inclusion, trust, belonging, engagement, or fulfillment, we can help make visible the invisible relationships between your people and your organizational values. https://lnkd.in/g-QJiMYR
I have retyped this post a out 5 times. I'm trying to find the words to articulate the impact that a nonprofit's presentation had on the guests of the Midway Chamber of Commerce luncheon today: the co-founders of Neighborhood Forest, Vikas Narula and Priya Narula gave an exceptional lecture on the parallels between the network of a forest and the network of an organization. They highlighted the importance of every seedling in the forest network, like every department/colleague of a company: how they communicate and support each other and the risk to the network in the absence of nurture and communication. If this sounds even remotely interesting to you, please reach out so I can go into more detail, or, check out Neighborhood Forest's wedsite. The most compelling part of the presentation the use of Vikas's tech company, Keyhubs, that uses charts to show each [tree, colleague, department] position and connection to the larger network. I'm not doing the talk justice. This is all to say, thank you Vikas abd Priya. This was compelling and I can't wait to share it with my team.

At Keyhubs we love to discuss, empower, and create vibrant communities. Sometimes that means shaking up our habitual social interactions. Sometimes to grow our communities we need to take some risks, step outside our comfort zones, and (eeek!) make some new connections and friends. New connections bring fresh perspectives, cross-pollinated ideas, and bridges between groups. We've heard from a lot of folks lately that this feels like the answer to our increasingly polarized world. But how, where, with whom do we start??? That's the topic of our next Keyhubs Online Community Gathering. Join us for good conversation with thoughtful, energizing people. You'll make a couple new connections in the process, and come away with your next right step to add more vibrancy to your own community. We look forward to another great conversation about creating the conditions for great workplace culture, employee engagement, and professional connections.

We are so excited for the community Mauricio Montes de Oca is building with his collaborators, Roxana Rueda and Laila Orsi, MBA. The first Latino Network Exchange event took place last week. It was a huge success! When great people come together to build community and ignite their collective power, AMAZING things happen. We look forward to seeing what sparks from these inviting, energizing, cross-pollinated gatherings. Here's to connecting on purpose, by design, to bridge communities. Last week, we kicked off our inaugural Latino Network Exchange event with a powerful celebration of community and connections. Thank you, everyone, for joining us for an evening filled with lively connections and thought-provoking conversations. Your presence enriched our community and strengthened our bonds. A special shoutout to Maria Medina for her inspiring words on harnessing our collective Latino power; her message left a lasting impact on all of us. We had the opportunity to engage in an insightful networking activity designed by Keyhubs. Thank you, Priya Narula and Liz Otteson (she/her), for your valuable contribution! We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to MITO for their excellent work and the delicious food and drinks that energized us throughout the evening. A big thank you to Laura Velasquez, our fantastic photographer, for capturing the spirit of the evening so beautifully. None of this would have been possible without the invaluable help from Roxana Rueda and Laila Orsi, MBA. Your unwavering dedication and hard work were the backbone of this event's success. Our journey together has just begun. We have more exciting events lined up, so stay tuned for what's next! Thank you all for your fantastic support and for making this inaugural event successful. We will continue to shatter barriers, push boundaries, and bring about positive change. A "group think" environment can be like the proverbial frog, swimming around in a nice pot of water until it is boiled to death. The lack of different perspectives on the situation is stifling. Yep, it can be uncomfortable to hear different viewpoints. AND it can be invigorating, empowering, even exciting. How can we build a practice of bringing more diverse perspectives and ways of thinking into our work? How can we listen well, embrace divergent thinking, be receptive to new ideas, and build consensus? This is the topic of our October Online Community Gathering. We hope you will join us and bring your own distinct view of professional workplaces and networks. #diverseperspectives #listentounderstand #discomfort
