Yesterday (September 15) was National Online Learning Day, but we celebrate online learning every day because of the opportunities it unlocks for students who might not be able to pursue higher education in a traditional format. Our own SVP of Instructional Services, Christine Valadez, EdD, brings the perspective of both an expert in instructional design for online and hybrid higher education AND a successful student who recently completed her Doctor of Education degree online, with a dissertation addressing the challenges of faculty resistance to online learning. The shift to high-quality online education isn’t always easy, but the ability to meet learners where they want to learn and CAN learn is invaluable and it is worth the work. #OnlineLearningDay #HigherEducation #UnlockOpportunity
