Despite harsh weather, time constraints and a remote location, the Little Long Dam Safety Project is complete. As the general contractor for this vital project in northern Ontario, our team worked to expand and rehabilitate the Adams Creek spillway, increasing its overall spill capacity to enhance dam safety along the Mattagami River, especially in cases of extreme weather. Since work began in 2020, we’ve added four new sluice gates to the existing structure at Adams Creek, along with two new bridges, one on each side of the sluiceway. We also want to recognize the hardworking crew on this project for achieving more than 2,100,000 hours worked with zero lost-time safety incidents – a testament to their commitment to safety.

You know it’s really cold when your haul truck looks like this. In Tok, Alaska, freezing equipment is just part of the job. Temperatures can plunge to -40°F, and with windchill, it can feel like -100°F. Frost, like you see on this haul truck, can build up in just a few hours. To warm the engines and get them started, crews use heaters and parachutes, which help hold in the heat around the equipment.

🚆 The Foothill Gold Line Light Rail Project has reached substantial completion. Over the past five years, the Kiewit-Parsons Joint Venture (KPJV) worked to extend the A Line from Glendora to Pomona — on time and on budget. This massive undertaking included 9.1 miles of new track, four stations with parking, 19 bridges, 21 crossings and relocated freight tracks. Now, the project is in the final phase, ready for testing, training and passenger preparation before the official opening. Our crew and partners logged more than 2.6 million work hours while achieving an excellent safety record. "It is unusual for a large infrastructure project to come in on time and on budget, but KPJV was partners with the Construction Authority from the start and found ways to innovate and keep the project moving through the Covid-19 Pandemic, historic heatwaves and historic rains. I am pleased to say that we not only completed the project on time and on budget - we ended as partners." - Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority CEO Habib F. Balian Congratulations to our team, our client and the community for this transformational transportation extension. Thank you for your patience and support during construction! 📸 Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority

This bridge, which spans SR 520 in Redmond, WA, showcases innovative design and seamless collaboration between Microsoft, Sound Transit, the City of Redmond, WSDOT and Kiewit. The structure connects Microsoft campuses, the SR 520 bike trail, and Sound Transit’s Redmond Technology Station, providing a vital link for thousands of daily users while promoting walking and cycling. Designed to enhance the commuter experience, the bridge features separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists, a park-like atmosphere with native plantings, and a beautifully integrated white tensile fabric canopy. It blends into the surrounding environment while offering a visually striking addition to the community. The RTS Pedestrian Bridge sets a new standard for infrastructure projects, demonstrating how thoughtful design and innovation can improve mobility, accessibility and quality of life.
