To anyone delivering things in the public sector, you know that 'get stuff done' is a mandate that's as obvious as it is (disappointingly) difficult. As such, I wanted to find someone who was leading the way in actual, concrete change in our cities' public spaces; Ya-Ting Liu is one of those people. She's the Chief Public Realm Officer for New York City, and is leading the charge on dozens of new projects that promise to make the city a more joyful, productive, and just place to live. The United Kingdom has been a true trailblazer in advanced mobility - and an important, longstanding partner of CoMotion. There is no more skilled and energetic ambassador for British innovation in mobility and transportation than His Majesty’s representative in Los Angeles, Paul Rennie, OBE. I sat down with Paul to talk about smart AV regulation and about the general rise of autonomous mobility- and then shared a ride in a driverless Waymo Jaguar UK I-Pace, manufactured in Britain, naturally. What an incredible and impactful third edition of the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance's Monaco Hydrogen Forum! 🎉 🏆 Huge congratulations to DRIFT Energy Ltd Energy, who was awarded the Monaco Hydrogen Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation by H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco. Drift is creating a new class of uniquely mobile renewable energy. Harnessing the world's most precious resource, the ocean. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Hydrogen Scotland and the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance (MHA) sign a Memorandum of Understanding strengthening best practices in the safe use and deployment of hydrogen technologies. ⚡The MHA and ENOWA have launched ITHACA, the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance's International Taskforce on Hydrogen Mobility in Coastal Areas, to deliver policy recommendations at the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice. 🌊 SwitcH2 Offshore and CorPower Ocean are teaming up to create an industrial-scale floating green ammonia production facility, powered in part by wave energy and backed by the Dutch Government’s GroenvermogenNL TSE scheme. 🤝 MobilityVC and MHA have launched a Venture Investment fund focused on early-stage hydrogen mobility technologies. With initial investors already on board, the fund is set to make its first investments in the coming months. We have officially kicked off the third edition of the Monaco Hydrogen Forum ’24! 🇲🇨 🎉 H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco has arrived behind the wheel of a prototype hydrogen-powered Extreme H race car. Following training with British race driver Catie Munnings, Prince Albert drove the single-seater racing car, ‘the Pioneer 25’, from the Prince’s Palace of Monaco through the principality’s iconic streets, which host the world’s top drivers in Formula One and Formula E, to the Hotel Hermitage. The Prince officially opened this year’s Forum, setting the stage for global discussions on the pivotal role of hydrogen in transitioning to net-zero mobility. Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/g6ucdv5X
