Automated Bulk Material Storage & Reclaim Systems

About us

Laidig Systems, Inc. manufactures and installs custom-engineered storage and reclaim systems that aggressively unload non-flowable and semi-flowable materials including: biomass, wheat bran, soybean meal, DDGS, powders, chemicals, and more. Our uniquely designed reclaim auger rotates 360 degrees around the bottom of a storage silo or dome to provide consistent, first-in, first-out (FIFO) unloading. Laidig reclaim systems can be installed in both flat and cone-bottom structures, and are capable of handling a wide range of storage and output capacities.

  • FROM US TO YOU! 🎁   It’s been a wonderful year full of growth and opportunities here at Laidig, and as we put a bow on 2024, we know we have SO MUCH to be grateful for.   Thank you to every single one of our customers, partners, and friends for your continued collaboration and support. Have a blessed Christmas season and a happy 2025!

  • MATERIAL MONDAY!   This week we’re talking about RENDERED PROTEIN MEALS. Meat, blood, feather, bone, and other rendered meals are VERY hard to store and handle, but do they have to be?   Sometimes, companies handling these materials will opt for smaller “bolt-on” silo attachments to keep them flowing. As it turns out, though, those passive forms of reclaim may do more damage in the long run.   SWIPE through the information below for more ➡️   https://lnkd.in/gwwjXywN

  • ANNUAL TRADITION! We are thrilled once again this year to be able to share some kindness with others through the Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family program! This holiday season, a single mom of four kids will have a little something extra to celebrate under the tree—and it was all made possible by employee donations here at Laidig. In fact, our employees contributed so much this year that we were able to make an additional donation to another local nonprofit. Merry Christmas to all! 🎄

  • MATERIAL MONDAY!   This week, we’re highlighting a material with a wide range of particle sizes, moisture content, and applications: BIOMASS!   Long fiber biomass in particular can be very difficult to handle because the pieces weave and interlock, making it very hard to store and unload from a silo or even an open pile at a woodyard. SWIPE through the slides below for more ➡️   Find out how Laidig helps with #biomass 🌳 ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/gnSm6zdD

  • SETTING THE TABLE! 🍽️   As Americans prepare for Thanksgiving 🦃 this week, we’re taking some time to remember where our food comes from: the hardworking farmers, processors, and all the fantastic people who make up the great industries we serve here at Laidig.   What’s on your plate this year? Chances are that some of your ingredients might have a relationship with our reclaim systems:

  • REDUCING LEAD TIMES! Say hello to our newest precision manufacturing timesaving tool: the Mazak Integrex j-400! ⚙ This machine can do it all—simultaneous angular milling and lathe turning, automatic tool changes, and more—all while utilizing the latest CAD and CAM software. It’s a great, flexible addition to the already-advanced lineup of equipment we use to custom-build every reclaimer we make. We brought in this multi-functional CNC machine for three simple reasons: ✅ To cut lead times ✅ To cut costs ✅ To improve quality   With the upgraded 15-inch diameter chuck, we’ve already started to make multiple kinds of gearbox bearing caps, splined gear drive shafts, and motor adapters! Check out this video showing our skilled operators producing some of the machine’s first components:

  • MATERIAL MONDAY!   We’re shining a light on a very tricky material some of you deal with every day: SOYBEAN MEAL!   Because this material is widely known for bridging, plugging, and being hard to handle, there are a lot of opinions out there on how it can and should be stored. SWIPE through the slides below for more ➡   Find out how Laidig helps with #soybeanmeal ⬇   Feed producers/feed mills: https://lnkd.in/gcxqkVT Oilseed processing: https://lnkd.in/gtRnkBbe

  • Do you see that concrete silo behind the semi in the picture? Inside of it, there's a brand new Laidig Track-Drive reclaimer handling and unloading transloaded soybean meal! Congratulations to our friends at Wayne-Sanderson Farms on the completion of their huge feed mill renovation 🎉

  • MOOOOOVE OVER, CONVENTIONAL THINKING! 🐮   Laidig is changing the game for a Mexico cattle yard that’s working to double in size!   How do you precision-feed 500,000 cattle automatically while protecting all the ingredients that go into the feed at the same time? Here’s a hint: you can’t do it the old way.   The answer in the latest issue of Dry Cargo International: https://lnkd.in/g2FPEabd

  • SHARING INFORMATION & EXPERTISE 👨🏫⬇ Laidig's International Sales Manager John Koorn just finished up his expert presentation at IAOM MEA Conference & Expo in Dubai! During the presentation, John talked about the most up-to-date and efficient ways of storing and reclaiming hard-to-flow materials, which is valuable information for flour millers! We're having a great time connecting with everyone here in the region so far, and there's still time to stop by our booth! Come see us at stand #F7 through the end of the show (Wednesday, Nov. 13)!
