At the heart of this effort is the belief that "My Health, My Right" is not just a statement, but a path we encourage everyone to take. LMC is hosting a week-long HIV Awareness campaign across its centers, focusing on the importance of periodic testing, education, and awareness in combating HIV/AIDS, particularly among high-risk populations like drivers. This initiative includes counseling and educational sessions designed to promote safe health practices and dispel misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS. 40% of new HIV diagnoses are transmitted by individuals unaware of their HIV status, highlighting the critical need for awareness, regular testing, and education. In 2024 till date, LMC has conducted over 40,000 HIV tests across 10,000+ unique drivers, identifying ~100 positive cases. While progress is being made, the reality remains stark. Every day, we encounter many drivers who remain unaware of HIV, its transmission risks, and the misconceptions surrounding it. Furthermore, individuals living with HIV are often unaware of their rights, further hindering progress. Aligned with the UN’s World AIDS Day theme – "Collective Action: Sustain & Accelerate HIV Progress", we understand that real change comes from sustained, collective efforts. We remain committed to advancing HIV awareness, care, and prevention in every community we serve. 1,500+ drivers have already pledged to adopt risk-free behaviors, with a target to reach at least 5,000 drivers by the end of this campaign. The series of events are done with active participation from officials representing Tata Steel, ICTC- National Aids Control Society and Logistic companies, demonstrating a united effort to foster a healthier, stigma-free workforce. LMC sincerely thanks the officials from Tata Steel, the District ICTC units of Dhenkanal, Jajpur & Rohtak, Logistics Companies for their active participation and invaluable guidance. Their expertise and support have been instrumental in advancing this initiative and reinforcing our shared commitment to promoting a healthier, more resilient community for drivers and blue-collar workers. #HIVAwareness #HealthForAll #LMC #BlueCollarHealth #CommunityHealth #CorporatePartnership #HIVPrevention #WorkplaceWellness #startup #heathcare #healthcareforall #tatasteel Satya Prakash, JAGJIT SINGH BHATTI, Deepak kumar Gupta, Dr Prasanta Dass, Amrik Singh Layal, CJ Darcl Logistics Limited, Sairus Indorewalla, POOJA JAISWAL, ANUPAM BISWAL
