  • 📣 There is still time to register! Don’t miss out on Clark Quinn’s upcoming webinar: Make it Meaningful! Most of our instructional design is focused on the cognitive aspects. That is (if we’re doing it right), we make sure we activate relevant knowledge, provide concepts, examples, and practice with feedback. Yet, we know that making learning engaging, that is having learners committed to the experience, works better. What do we need to do this right? Come explore what’s known about how to make experiences engaging, and apply those principles to the design of learning experiences. We’ll talk about hooking in commitment from the beginning, and maintaining that commitment through the learning experience. We’ll discus how to open the experience, the necessary elements and what distinguishes engaging from ordinary, as well as some tips and tricks. Make sure to register! 📆 Wednesday, November 20 🕐 from 13h00 to 14h00 ET - New York time 💸 Free ➡️ More information and registration: https://lnkd.in/e3V7zpiW

  • Learning not applied, is learning wasted! Despite great programs, too often learning fails to make the required impact. Facilitators and learning designers lack control and visibility when learners are outside of the learning environment as to how and if learners are applying the learning to their roles. Sounds too familiar? Want to level up your learning transfer strategy? 🚀Emma Weber’s live online workshop Dynamic Learning Transfer for Creating Impact is for you! Emma is the author of Turning Learning into Action™ - a coaching based solution and a proven methodology for effective transfer of learning. Often coaching is included in a blended approach to learning and has the potential to transform your learning experiences, but its success is rarely realised. 🎯During this workshop, Emma will unpack and share how you can create a learning transfer strategy that will deliver results! Immerse yourself in the evidence-based work pioneered by Emma and her team over the last 20 years to ensure, without fail, that learning delivers impact. 📍Dynamic Learning Transfer for Creating Impact 📆 January 28, 2025, from 13h30 to 17h00 ET (New York Time) 💰Public price: $149 US (Gold and Platinum LDA members get their respective discounts) Learn more and register here: https://lnkd.in/eWzk_2H5 #ldaccelerator #instructionaldesign #learningdesign #learningtransfer

  • Interested in organizational learning? Check out Dr. Nigel Paine’s new book 'The Great Reset: Unlocking the Power of Organizational Learning', published by LDA Press! Nigel’s book is based on three simple premises: 1️⃣ People are happier and more productive when they work together, help each other, and admit and work on eliminating mistakes. 2️⃣ There is such a thing as an organizational brain. What makes us smart is our cellular connections not the number of neurons. What makes organizations smart is not the number of people they employ, but how well and how frequently they are connected. The more constant the making of connections in our brain, helps it remain plastic and resilient. The more quality connections in an organization the more resilient the organization and the faster it can solve problems. 3️⃣ The better an organization plugs into its external environment and the faster it reacts to changes in that environment, the better it copes with turbulence and uncertainty. There is a link between learning, engagement, community, and organizational success. 💡A successful organization, now and in the future, is a learning organization. Work and learning are inextricably linked. ➡️ Level up your organization!
