  • What an incredible day at our 2025 Core Class – Law & Justice Session! Our participants engaged in deep discussions about the justice system, public safety, and the impact of crime on both victims and defendants in Lancaster County. The morning began with coffee, networking, and a warm welcome from Lisa Driendl-Miller, Lancaster Law Foundation. Lance Greene from Saxton & Stump provided an insightful overview of the justice system, setting the stage for the day’s conversations. The class then had a powerful discussion and presentation on reentry and support services, where Tricia Nabors M.Ed., PCC, BCC, ACPEC and Kim Martinez from New Beginnings, along with Tracy Renneker and Dr. Mary Glazier from Ambassadors for Hope, shared their experiences and leadership stories. After a short break, Corporal David Cole and K9 Ragnar from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office gave an impressive demonstration, highlighting the role of law enforcement in community safety. One of the most impactful moments of the day was the sentencing simulation, where participants stepped into the role of a defendant and prosecution in front of county and magistrate judges – allowing the class to ask organic questions as it relates to the judicial process during their given scenarios. The afternoon concluded with a Restorative Justice Circle led by Chris Fitz and Krista Rittenhouse from Advoz: Mediation & Restorative Practices, bringing a meaningful perspective on healing and accountability within the justice system. We are incredibly grateful to all the speakers and experts who shared their time and knowledge with us. Their dedication to justice and leadership is truly inspiring.
