Overcrowded EDs have caused staff burnout, financial strain, and poor patient outcomes for decades. Without a holistic hospital operations strategy, most efforts to reduce ED boarding and improve care fall short. In the words of LeanTaaS' Head of Inpatient Flow Business, Jason Harber, "hospitals have seen the best results by starting at the end of the patient journey; focusing on discharge discipline triggered by AI-powered solutions and backed up by solid operational processes has led to dramatic reductions in ED boarding times." Leading health systems Baptist Health and Sarasota Memorial Health Care System have successfully tackled ED boarding with a data-driven approach, improving patient flow and hospital efficiency. Jason shares more details in an article for Becker's Healthcare, including how to utilize proven AI-powered strategies to solve ED boarding and inpatient capacity challenges. How do infusion centers unlock capacity without adding chairs? Ask Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center! 🏥 As one of the 72 elite NCI-designated Cancer Centers in the entire country and the only adult center designation in Tennessee, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center had a desire to increase capacity. However, midday peaks causing nurses to frequently miss lunches as well as balancing capacity between oncology and non-oncology infusions held the team back from making their goals a reality. ✔️With iQueue for Infusion Centers, scheduling leaders are now able to strategically steer add-ons to level-load the day, and leadership has the ability to analyze data to see how the month will unfold in order to balance capacity. No. Chairs. Added. 👉 Learn how Vanderbilt achieved a 30% decrease in chair wait time, a 27% decrease in drug wait times, and an 8% increase in volumes utilizing the same number of chairs: https://lnkd.in/dCdS7nGE

The service line coordinators (SLCs) at Oregon Health & Science University's Center for Health and Healing had a wealth of expertise to create optimal OR assignments and advance staff development opportunities. But they were spending too much time on staffing assignments because they lacked centralized, digital tools and up-to-date data to streamline the process. 🤖⚡Empowered by iQueue for Operating Rooms and the single source of truth it provided, OHSU was able to streamline staffing workflows and optimize assignments, saving SLCs an average of 20 hours per week. As a result, SLCs, nurse managers, and charge nurses can now achieve next-level efficiency and reinvest their time into what truly matters: delivering excellent patient care. 🔎 Explore the full case study to see how the health system transformed the OR staff experience: https://lnkd.in/e4ST4vMt
