In the 4th episode of our Legal Hackers podcast, we were excited to host Malin Männikkö from Stockholm Legal Hackers and Kelechi Achinonu from Legal Hackers Lagos, hosted by Kanan Dhru from the Legal Hackers Operational Board. The discussion revolved around the transformative role of technology, especially AI, within the legal profession and similarities as well as differences in its adoption across geographies. Key highlights of this insightful conversation were as follows: 📌 The inevitability of increased AI adoption and its potential to reshape legal practice in both the private and public sectors. The public sector has a dual role to play, in developing relevant legal frameworks and promoting responsible adoption of technology to address the justice gap. 📌 The importance of "legal design thinking" was also recognized as a way to ensure that technology solutions are human-centered and practical. While many technologies are geography-neutral, the application of these technologies varies across different jurisdictions, each requiring its own regulatory guardrails. 📌 Role of communities, like Legal Hackers in fostering collaboration, learning, and innovation was celebrated, with a special focus on how staying connected with like-minded professionals helps to navigate the evolving landscape. We are super grateful to Kelechi and Malin for their time and contribution to our podcast series. We truly hope you enjoyed this episode as much as we did, and we’re excited to welcome more incredible speakers in our upcoming conversations! 📻 Stay tuned for more insightful discussions Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ghsXPA5u Youtube: https://lnkd.in/g3JQQFAr
