HOW ARE YOU HANDLING STRESS? Christmas can be an emotional time. For some, it can be very lonely and sad, and for others it can be very joyous and festive. With all these emotions comes stress, and again, for some of you, you may be feeling more stressed than others. Perhaps you’ve been carrying a lot of needless stuff in your soul and it’s wearing you out. When you’re on overload with situations that just don’t seem to be going your way or you have things you can’t change, God is there to help you! He who preserves us never stops. The Bible tells you to pile your troubles on God’s shoulders. He'll help you out, He'll carry you. It's in these moments more than ever that you need to lean upon Jesus. He tells you, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He tells you, “Peace, my peace I leave unto you, not as the world tries to do because you'll never find it in the things of this world, but it's in Jesus.” “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” Psalm 55:22 (NASB) Jesus is your Peace, lean on Jesus. Trust Him. He will carry you through. You are going to make it. LEAN ON JESUS! Watch Word of Encouragement on YOUTUBE - https://lnkd.in/gqgxfstN

CONQUERING THE WORRY WITHIN In this journey of overcoming worry, I have personally found Philippians 4:4-8 to be very helpful. Here Paul provides key principles for overcoming worry: 1. "Rejoice in the Lord." (Philippians 4:4): Paul begins by encouraging us to always rejoice. When we focus on gratitude and God's goodness, it totally shifts our attention away from worry and fear and realigns our thinking. 2. "Let your gentleness be evident.” (Philippians 4:5): Instead of reacting out of frustration or worry, Paul encourages us to be gentle and patient. This reflects trust in God's timing, which helps reduce worry. 3. "Pray about everything." Philippians 4:6): Instead of letting worries pile up, we are told to bring everything to God in prayer. By communicating our fears and concerns with God, we release the burden of trying to control everything ourselves. 4. “Trust in God's peace.” (Philippians 4:7): When we pray and trust, God promises a peace that transcends understanding. This peace guards our hearts and minds, protecting us from the worry and fear that comes from life's uncertainties. 5. "Focus on positive thoughts." (Philippians 4:8): Here we are encouraged to focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Shifting our mental focus to these things reduces the mental space for worry and helps cultivate a mindset of peace. In summary, by rejoicing, praying, trusting in God’s peace, and focusing on positive thoughts, Philippians 4:4-8 offers a powerful antidote to worry. Thanksgiving is not just a holiday, it’s an attitude we can practice every day. Here is the opening quote from the Thanksgiving Proclamation signed by George Washington, President of the United States of America, October 3, 1789: Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor– and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness. We have freedom in this country to express our thankfulness publically and to celebrate with others on a special day. "Thank You God - for your mercy on us. Thank you for the provision you have made for us physically - and most importantly - for your Son." Happy Thanksgiving.

DILIGENCE AND COURAGE FOR YOUR DREAMS. When faced with discouragement, disappointments, and struggles in the midst of pursuing your dreams, don't give up. You are not the first to go through hard times and discouragement. Joel Osteen often emphasizes that when facing disappointments, one should not give up on their dreams, instead viewing setbacks as temporary hurdles and maintaining a positive mindset, believing that God has a plan to bring greater blessings and opportunities on the other side of difficulty. He encourages people to "keep their faith strong" and "not let discouragement stop them from pursuing their dreams.” John Maxwell also weighs in on courage: "You need to have the courage to take risks, to face your fears, and to push through obstacles." Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT) says, “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you,” and Joshua 1:9 (NLT) says, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Watch the video on YouTube - https://lnkd.in/gtkU84_r #wordofencouragement #libertyroadfoundation #johndammarell #courage #diligence #diligencepaysoff

LOVE DOESN’T KEEP SCORE “Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise, you’ll never get so much as a glimpse of God. Make sure no one gets left out of God’s generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time." Hebrews 12:14-17 (MSG) Harboring your heart steals most of the joy from your life and robs you of a great deal of peace. It buries your ability to be patient with others. It turns your kindness into something prejudiced and selective. It stains all that goodness in you. John DeMartini, a human behavior expert and author said, "Unforgiveness warps your mind into thinking you are a self-controlled person, when in reality you're out of control.” Kerry Shook, a pastor and author said, “Keeping score just brings you more pain and causes a whole lot of pain for others.” But how does God respond to all this abuse? He reconciles, rather than resents. Look at 2 Corinthians 5:19 in the New Living Translation, “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” When you accept God's forgiveness for you, you have an obligation to extend it to others.
