Still on Leadership! When we talk about leadership, many people have their thoughts on POLITICIANS. While political leadership is one of the forms of leadership, we must have an understanding that leadership cuts across every sector of life's endeavors; from the family, to workplace, schools, marketplace, religion, etc. In whichever domain you are a leader, you should recognize that leadership is a call to RESPONSIBILITY AND SERVICE. When leaders approach leadership with the sense that they are called to serve and take responsibility (though they may be qualified for the role), they will see the office as a privilege to serve those who they lead and to cause transformation within their sphere of operations. We're coming into a NEW YEAR, be intentional about leading well in your organization, family, church, school, etc. Sunday Ayeomoni 📝 #Service #Responsibility #LeadingWell #ResponsibleLeadership

Leadership is not about being in charge; it's about caring for those in your charge. My father, Ralph Harvey, was a leader who understood the power of caring. He didn't just manage people; he connected with them on a personal level. One memorable example was when he noticed an employee struggling financially. My father offered him a raise without hesitation, allowing his wife to stay home with their newborn. This wasn’t just about money—it was about understanding the needs of those he led. Acts like these earned him the loyalty of everyone around him. People didn’t follow him because they had to—they followed him because they trusted him, believed in him, and knew he cared. Caring leaders inspire lasting loyalty. Leadership isn’t about managing tasks or commanding authority. It’s about seeing the people behind the work and leading with compassion. They'll give you their all when you genuinely care for your team. How can you show your team you care today? #Leadership #TeamBuilding #CaringLeadership #Loyalty #Inspiration #WorkplaceCulture

Weekly Leadership Quote: "Leadership is action, not position" -Donald H. McGannon My Take: Being a leader is about influence. It's about helping other people attain their best in pursuit of the shared goal. Just having the badge of rank does not mean you are a leader. It means you have been TRUSTED to lead those in your charge to the shared goal. Just saying, "I'm the leader" is like Michael Scott from The Office declaring bankruptcy by shouting the word loudly to the people in the office. That's just not how it works. You might think it does, but it doesn't. Instead, take action that supports the goal. Build your coalition, find the resources, communicate the urgency, and most of all, be of service to and care for your team so they can move forward to the goal. The position is the recognition for being a good leader, not the indicator that you are one. The indicator is in the influence and actions that you help create.

Inclusive leaders are the rockstars who see, appreciate, and manage different perspectives People can experience the same workplace in completely different ways 1) Some can feel like they are sinking because they get no love 2) Some can feel like they're on top of the world because they get all the love 3) Some can feel like it's a job and they are not asking for too much 4) Some can see all of these perspectives, and do or not do anything about it As I circled Elm Park's South Mere yesterday on my walk, I first saw a dry bed, then turned and saw a lovely bird through the flowers, and then turned again and saw the clouds reflected in the full bed. It made me reflect on perspectives and how if you don't do the full circle around the park, you don't give yourself the space to see all the perspectives needed to inform your leadership approach Three perspectives, same pond. Be the leader who bridges the gaps, adjusting with courage to help every employee thrive Comment if you agree and follow for inclusive leadership tips Reach out if you need help https://lnkd.in/g7X9Z42p #leadership #perspectives #worcesterma

What Leadership truly means.. Great leaders build bridges, not walls. True leadership is measured by the ability to inspire, unite, and empower others—not by tearing them down. When leaders uplift those around them, they foster collaboration, trust, and respect, paving the way for collective progress and success. Today, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made headlines at the Trump 2024 rally with comments aimed at Puerto Rico. This behavior is a clear example of how insecurity can manifest in the form of downgrading others. Just like in politics, when individuals or leaders feel uncertain about their own position, they often resort to targeting territories or groups as a way to assert dominance. When we see leaders, or anyone in the public eye, choosing insults over inclusion, it’s a reminder of the importance of confidence, empathy, and respect in positions of influence. Let’s celebrate the leaders who choose empathy over ego, vision over division, and inclusivity over insecurity. Share a moment when you witnessed exceptional leadership that uplifted others—let’s spotlight those who exemplify what true leadership means. #GreatLeadership #Empowerment #UnityInLeadership #InspireChange #Leadership #EmpathyMatters #PuertoRico #Insecurity

Election Season: A Time for Leadership and Reflection Election time is a powerful reminder of the impact that true leadership can have on communities, organizations, and the world. Whether we’re voting, supporting, or leading, it’s a chance to reflect on the qualities that make a great leader: Integrity: True leaders stand by their values and inspire trust. Empathy: Understanding the needs and experiences of others is at the core of impactful leadership. Vision: Great leaders see the big picture and bring others together to work towards a shared future. Election season is not just about choosing leaders—it’s about recognizing what we value in leadership itself. As we navigate this period, let's think about how we can embody these qualities in our daily lives, workplaces, and communities. What qualities do you believe are most important in a leader? #Leadership #ElectionSeason #Integrity #Empathy #Vision #ReflectiveLeadership #CommunityEngagement

This quote by Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, emphasizes the importance of leaders actively listening to and understanding the concerns, perspectives, and needs of the people they serve. "The ear of the leader must ring with the voices of the people" suggests that effective leadership requires a strong connection with the thoughts and opinions of the community. Leaders should be attentive to the voices and feedback of those they lead, and use this information to inform their decisions and actions. By listening to the voices of the people, leaders can better understand the challenges and aspirations of their constituents, build trust and rapport with the community, and make decisions that are in the best interest of the people they serve. #leadership

Today’s presidential election reminds us of a critical truth in leadership: not everyone will always agree with us, but effective leadership requires the courage to lead with integrity and a focus on the greater good. In any role, from politics to business, leaders face tough choices, and not every decision will be popular. Yet, true leadership lies in listening to diverse voices, making decisions with conviction, and staying focused on a collective vision. For those in leadership, it’s a reminder to stay committed to our goals, even amid differing opinions. To lead well, we have to embrace both the support and the critique, remembering that growth comes from aligning and motivating our teams, even when consensus is challenging. Leadership is about making decisions that move us forward as a team—and ultimately, as an organization. #Leadership #vote

TRUST IS THE ESSENCE OF LEADERSHIP -Colin Powell When people trust their leader, they're more likely to be motivated, engaged, and willing to go the extra mile. They believe in the leader's vision and are eager to contribute to its success. Trust is the bedrock on which effective leadership is built, and its absence can undermine even the most well-laid plans. Building trust takes time and effort, but it's an investment that pays off in the long run. #trust #leadership #business #businessowner #employer #employee #success #businesssuccess
